it's hard to love
someone who stings
indeed, what a task
one needs a heart of gold
or is it all a mask
for insecurity? are people
stronger if they put
themselves first with surety?
temporary relief
for a pressing need
but in the long-term
will it succeed?
they say the moment
is the answer; easy
to say for those who are
naturally blessed
with such perspective
so, what about the ones
more introspective?
when every inch
of one’s resolve
has be so drained
in consciously
making oneself better
and no one even notices
then, more effort
is just a horrid strain
at least for the time being
when giving up
seems more the breeze…
