Chapter Twenty Three.

Steve,

I love her, I thought it was a joke when Job talked about it. I feel so warm around her, I can’t afford to ask her, I fear finding out the truth. I can’t handle rejection from her.

She is making me feel exactly what I dread most. Feeling vulnerable, I have never felt this before.

When I first set my eyes on her, she was a simple village girl but something was unique about her.

I look into her face and realize that she is the most beautiful girl I have ever seen, she is sleeping peacefully in my arms.

I have never put a woman to sleep in my arms. She is a different version of a woman, I feel her so deep inside my heart.

I turn to stare at the ceiling and ooh my God! I cannot believe George that evil man actually wants to destroy such an innocent girl.

I will not allow that to happen, he will get to her over my dead body. He is so evil.

How can one man be so arrogantly evil, a drug dealer, a killer and a rapist?

I have found out that he blackmails a number of girls into sleeping with him. I hate him for that, he shouldn’t be wasting innocent lives. It could be his daughter, sister or any other relative, how can he be so evil minded and insensitive? He is so cold hearted.

When he told me to find out about Vin and Lynn, I had no idea that they were the same ladies Job had told me about.

I knew Job had a girlfriend called Vin and a cousin called Lynn, I came with all the photos provided by George and Job confirmed that it is her girl and cousin.

George calls my line snapping me from my reverie

I press the answer button and press the gadget to my right ear.

‘’Hey George,’’

‘’What’s up?’’

‘’Nothing much, how can I help you?’’

‘’We need to talk, you are really taking your time and I don’t think I have all the time in the world to wait for you.’’

When he says that, I feel my blood boiling and bite my lower lip to avoid snorting a mean response.

‘’Give me time, George, I will bring the lady to you.’’ I  sigh heavily from that.

‘’I don’t have all the time Jeff. If you are not ready for the task I will have to allocate someone else. What is taking you so long?’’ He is almost shouting and that doesn’t go well with me so I terminate the call after telling him to be patient and to give me more time.

I walk back to the bed and Lynn is still asleep, I had moved to the bathroom to receive the call so as not to wake her up.

I take a few minutes to ogle her beauty. I am getting a stiff erection but I know better than to keep my erection to myself.

I don’t want to scare the beautiful girl. The angel, I ogle for so many minutes before she sighs heavily in her sleep, she turns around but doesn’t wake up.

I move stealthily to go and lie next to her, I don’t want her to think I am not keeping my promise.

I feel warm besides her.

I could make her my friend, love, wife and then the mother of my children. That depends though, if she doesn’t choose me I will respect her decision.

I don’t know if she will choose my brother, I will still respect that.

Our brotherhood is far much beyond fighting for a woman.

I haven’t asked her about her visit yesterday to my place, I will not force her to talk and if she isn’t ready I will let her be. I want her to trust me though.

I want to take her out in the evening, I hope she accepts my offer.

She throws her beautiful hands around me, she must be trying to find out if I am still here.

I grip her hand gently and when I check her face she is smiling.

I love her smile, it is beautiful and innocent and it brightens my mood.

‘’You are awake darling?’’ I ask her I notice a flush on her face.

‘’I am. Thank you.’’

‘’For what?’’

‘’For keeping your word of me finding you here when I wake up.’’ She turns to fully face me and I thank God a million times when her arm goes around me sexily.

I kiss her on the forehead and I can see the brightness on her face.

‘’I always keep my word darling. I love it when I keep my word to a special person like you.’’

‘’Who told you that I am special? Do you know how much messed I am?’’

‘’You doubt yourself beautiful? She looks at me innocently, ‘’you are very special darling, especially to me.’’

‘’Well, if you say so.’’ She says with finality

‘’Can I ask you for a favour?’’

‘’Ask me anything so long as it is within my reach, I will do it for you.’’ She says

‘’Can I take you out tonight?’’  She looks at me with brown, beautiful eyes wide open.

‘’You want to take me out?’’

‘’Yes I do.’’

‘’ Didn’t you ask me to stay indoors?’’

‘’Yes I did but it is me you are going out with, I will protect you darling.’’

My heart races excitedly and I cross my fingers hoping that she will accept my offer.

‘’Yes Steve, you can. I think I need exposure and if I keep inside the house I will go back to the village having not known anything in the city.’’ I am so excited so I pull her to myself and give her a very tight hug.

‘’Alright, let’s go to the living room, I need to talk to Vin and Job.’’

They are seated and chatting and seem very happy. Job is a very good example of a family man, he hasn’t married Vin yet but I am super sure he is going to make her happy.

‘’Hello guys,’’ I greet startling them.

‘’Hey,’’ they respond in unison.

‘’You good Lynn?’’ Job asks her and she nods. ‘’Did he mishandle you?’’

‘’Really job?’’ I ask desperately.

‘’No he didn’t.’’ she says with a slight smile.

‘’Guys I want to invite you out. We eat and drink and merry together.’’

‘’What are we celebrating?’’ Vin asks quietly.

‘’Nothing but I just want to take all of us out.’’

‘’Alright I’m in.’’ Vin says with a smile

It is six in the evening and we are in my car, my beautiful lady is seated at the back with me. While Vin is shotgun as Job  has taken the wheel.

We are very close and he can drive any of my cars any time.

Lynn is dressed in  a long body hugging red dinner beautiful dress. The slit runs to mid-thigh.

She didn’t want to wear it that but I picked it specifically for her, she looks stunning.

She is a gem.

Her shoes are gold wage. She doesn’t use any make up but I declare her officially beautiful.

She is wearing very small golden pair of earrings and I like her body work a lot.

She turns to look at me and she catches me drooling. She blushes and asks;

‘’Like anything?’’

‘’No.’’ I say and watch as her bright face turns dull. I snake a hand around her and tell he; I like everything that I see. You are very beautiful Lynn. So beautiful.’’

She blushes but mutters a thank you.

We are in a very classic five star hotel, I did this because of Lynn. We are eating and telling stories and I admire how the beauty is laughing.

She is so carefree and I am already a million times grateful to whoever created this gem.

A familiar voice is clapping and laughing maliciously and humourlessly.

We all turn to look and George is there glaring at us meanly.

‘’Just the people I wanted to see. Vin, I didn’t know I could see you again. Welcome to the city ladies.’’ He says and the sarcasm in the sentence cannot be missed.

Vin and Lynn tense and I swear I can’t afford to see Lynn this way, it breaks my heart.

Without thinking Job stands up and without warning he drives his fist to George’s face and he’s got by surprise that he is swept off his feet and he kisses the ground. He has blood oozing slightly from his mouth and at this point I don’t care what happens.

He stands up and makes to hit Job but Job is too swift for him he does a house sweep kick and he drops a few metres away from us with a groan! His eyes are red and he’s charging menacingly at him. But Job is still too fast to predict him! He holds him mid collar and they stare at each other’s eyes!

‘’Don’t you dare touch the people I love, I will protect Lynn and Vin with all that I have,’’  He says and I move to hold George.

I pull him aside. He makes to yell but I raise my hand in a bid to stop him.

‘’I am not your bodyguard George.’’ I say and he looks at me with a confused expression.

‘’Can you tell me what the hell is going on here?’’

‘’Please trust me, I am trying to gain their trust before I can get away to deliver her to you.’’ I lie to him and he seems to buy the lie.

‘’I knew I could trust you.’’ He says and I know he is a total fool.

‘’I will let you know what happens.’’

‘’Please tell that fool Job to watch his back. He has an enemy in me.’’

‘’Alright I will.’’

‘’Hurry up Jeff, I need to eat that lady soon.’’ He says and I almost punch him.

I walk back to our table as he walks away giving Job a very mean glare. All this while two mean faces are just seated in black suits on his table!  I take it they might be his security detail. But what are they doing when their boss is humiliated so in the public?
