You go into labor:

You were at home laying on the couch. Your stomach was feeling weird. The babies were moving a bit. You were glad Auston left the air conditioning on before he left since it was very hot out. That's what sucked about being pregnant in the summer time. It was the worst thing you thought every day for the last few weeks, but it was worth it since you'd see the little guys soon.

You tried getting up when a sudden gush of water came. You were worried. Also a bit frightened. You had your cellphone handy so you were going to call Auston. It rang a couple of times before he answered. You felt this cramping feeling in your stomach.

"Hey babe, what's up?"

"I think my water just broke."

He paused.

"You sure?"

"Yes Auston. There's a bunch of water all over the couch and floor. I think Brielle, Olivia, and Michael are coming."

You said as you felt more pain. You guys decided on Michael Auston for your son so he wouldn't be confused growing up.

"Okay I'm on my way. Just stay where you are."

"Okay, I have to call the midwife anyways."

"You call her and I'll be there in no time baby."

You nodded as if he could see. You hung up after he said he was driving. Now you were calling Jessie the midwife. She answered right away.

"Hey Sam, what's up?"

"I'm in labor."

"Oh dear, alright love I'll be there in ten minutes. I'm close by since you are close to my office. Apartment six twelve right?"

She asked making sure she was getting the right address.

"Yes, please hurry."

She said she would before hanging up. You were scared. Having triplets at home were scary. Auston was on his way.

Once you heard the door knock you told Jessie to come in. She came in quick. Once she came to you she noticed you were in pain.

"Where does it hurt?"

"My stomach. Auston is coming."

"Okay love, just relax."

You tried to relax but the pain was unbearable. How could you relax? She didn't know how it felt.

Auston then came in.

"Babe, are you good? I'm here now."

"Please come here."

He came over to you. The pain kept coming. Then you felt the urge to push. It was getting more and more prominent.

"Just try and relax. I think it'll be alright."

He said to you as you began pushing. It hurt. You never experienced pain like this before. This was so new.

"Auston this hurts. Please make it stop."

You begged. He held your hand. It made it feel a bit better but not by much.

"Okay Sam push for me sweetie. The kids will be here anytime soon."

You listened to her. You gave it your all. It didn't seem like it was going to be hard once you got going. You were right.

"Oh! You have a boy!"

You were glad Michael came first. Now he could be the older brother who protected his little sisters. You and Auston were happy.

The doctor took Michael, then you pushed more. You felt the pain increase. You held Auston's hand a bit tighter.

"Here's girl number one!"

She said. 'Brielle was so beautiful.' You thought to yourself. Auston must have thought the same thing since he was tearing up.

"She's so beautiful baby."

"I know."

You said as you pushed once more. You knew this would be over quick. You gave one last push.

"It's a girl!"

She announced. Olivia was finally here. You were exhausted. Even though it seemed quick.

The doctor came over to you.

"You have three healthy babies. All six pounds and seven ounces. They are beautiful. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Matthews."

Auston thanked the doctor. You just rested for a minute. It was tiring. Birthing three babies in the span of thirty minutes must have been. You knew you'd want to do it again one day.

Family and friends were over now. They were helping with the babies. It was a good thing they were since you were exhausted.

August was a horrible time to give birth in. It was hot and sticky. You had air conditioning, but it still wasn't cutting it for you. You didn't even know what day it was.

Auston came into the nursery. He had Michael in his arms.

"August thirteenth, you picked a good day."

You looked at him.

"What do you mean? I didn't choose to give birth on an unlucky day."

He smirked.

"I know, but it was funny. I like the day."

"Do you?"

"Yes, I do. Everyone is eating dinner now. Did you want to join us?"

He asked as he put Michael in the crib. You weren't hungry, but knew if you didn't eat he'd freak.

"Sure, are the kids gonna be okay in here?"

"Yes, we've got a baby monitor and that. Let's go, we got your favourite."

He was teasing but you followed him. This was gonna be a long night but you knew it was worth it. Your babies were happy and healthy as were you. This was going to be a fun, new experience for the both of you.
