Calum was completely infatuated with you. The way your oversized jumpers hung loosely over your frame and the way your hand flowed with the pen as you silently took notes.
He'd only ever seen you during lectures or sitting quietly in the coffee shop on campus but never at parties and frat houses where he spent most of his time. Despite what was expected of him, he liked you. A lot more than he cared to admit.
Calum dragged himself to the lecture, his only motivation was the possibility of seeing you even if it was just the back of your head. His beanie hung low on his forehead in attempts to cover the dark circles that surrounded his brown eyes.
The lecture hall was still quite empty when he'd arrived which made it easy to spot you in your usual seat in the middle. He always made sure to sit a few rows behind you but not too far behind to the point where he couldn't see you anymore.
A cup of coffee was placed carefully on the armrest with your laptop close beside it as it rested on your lap. It was your usual setup, and Calum quickly noticed that however, it varied between notepads and your laptop which was something that Calum noticed. You always brought your laptop for shorter lectures and notepad for longer ones, something that he still didn't quite understand but still admired as another unique aspect of your personality.
The lecture started soon after, but Calum paid no attention to it, copying notes off the person sitting next to him when needed but mostly his attention was set on you.
Throughout the lecture, Calum watched you sip your coffee, type up notes, and shift in your seat yet every single move made Calum intrigued for a reason not even he could explain.
For everyone else in the room, the lecture seemed to drag on, but for Calum, it went by way too quick, and before he knew it, he was watching you leave once again.
"Come on Y/N! It'll be fun," your roommate exclaimed, desperately shoving the flyer for a party into your face.
"It's not really my thing," you muttered, throwing your bag onto the worn couch before walking towards the fridge and pulling out a bottle of water.
"Calum will be there." She wiggled her eyebrows.
"So what? It's not even like I have anything to wear," you huffed, your attempts at getting her to leave you alone failing miserably.
"You can borrow something of mine. I've seen the way he looks at you Y/N, and this is your chance. I won't take no for an answer." She pouted, shoving the flyer into your face once again.
