Kade and I have been married for ten years now. Tucker Gauge Whimbley Parker is now 15 years old. He is a headstrong young man with a moral compass as true as Gauge's. Kade asked if he could adopt him when we found our we were expecting our second child. He wanted Tucker to feel as much his as the rest of our kids did by giving him his last name. Kade and Tucker have a bond like no other.
We were blessed with our second child nine months after our wedding. She is a ball of sass with a short fuse. This child speaks her mind whether it be good or bad. She knows how to work her big brother and he spoils her rotten. Sophia Grace Parker will be turning ten in a few months and she can not wait.
We thought our family was complete until we got a surprise two years ago. Liam Michael Parker is hell on wheels. We could have not picked a more fitting name. Liam means "determined warrior" and it could not me anymore true in our situation. His siblings have given the nickname "The Tiny Terrorist" which also fits pretty well. If he sees anything it now belongs to him and he will snatch it with such speed and have it hid before you know it's missing.
Kade has been amazing through all these years. He is a very hands on dad. He has changed his fair share of diapers. He is truly one of those men who treats you as an equal partner. I love him more everyday.
Cameron and Aspen are going strong. Aspen is a very sought after event planner here in the south. When Cameron isn't working for Kade in the garage, he is a carpenter. He builds whatever idea Aspen comes up with for her business. They have two kids. Violet is 14, and her nd Tucker are best friends. They remind me of Cameron and I growing up. Then there is Sam, who is a month older than Sophia. He is the sweetest little boy who just goes with the flow.
Zander and Paisley never got married but are more in love now than ever. They were blessed with six girls ranging from 6 month to 11years old. They say a wedding is a waist of money and the only thing we have that they don't is a piece of paper. Zander recently had a vasectomy because they were through trying for a boy.
Not a day goes by that I don't think of Gauge. It must be the same for Kade because he talks about him often. We may not understand why things happen, but we can't be so blind that we miss the beautiful outcome from such tragedy. You can't have a beautiful garden without the rain. Always be thankful for what you have. Nothing in this life is promised.
