How?

Hiccup stood there frozen in pure shock as he just stared at his beautiful wife alive and breathing once again right before his very eyes

She cracked a smile and continued to cry, Hiccup slowly walked forward and stretched out his hand to her face, he gently placed his hand on her cheek and she did the same to him

His smile then suddenly turned into a frown and he took a few steps back from her "how are you still alive? i saw your body burn on that ship" he said with tears falling

Astrid sighed and bit her lower lip then told him about the Miricuru "I still had the Miricuru inside my body when I went down on the ship, the flames did burn me but I healed incredibly quick" she said trying to get closer to him but he still backed away

"Why didn't you ever come back? you left me for five years to bring up Miracle alone and never even showed any sign that you were still okay...why?" he said as he started sobbing

Astrid knew that he would ask this and really wish he hadn't but she had to tell him anyway if she has any chance if seeing her child, so she took a deep breath and "Drago was the one who found me when my body washed up on dragon island Hiccup..........when I woke up I had forgotten everything I knew, including you so he tricked me and made me....." she stopped at the last part, she really didn't want to tell him

"He made you what Astrid?" Hiccup asked now a little annoyed "he....he made me....marry him" she said as she looked away with shame and showed him her ring finger, there was a ring there but it wasn't the one Hiccup placed on her finger on their wedding day it was one that gashed her finger and spilled blood all down it

"Good gods" he gasped in horror "if I take it off it will kill me...I'm sorry Hiccup" she said nearly crying, Hiccup just stared at her bloody red finger in horror, how could anyone do this to someone, Hiccup started walk forward and stretched his hand out, he got closer and closer until he finally touched her soft cheek

They both smiled for a moment then Astrid put her hands around his neck and their foreheads touched, they looked at each other then they got locked in each others eyes, their body's started to heat up, their body's came closer and so did their lips

Hiccup closed his eyes and so did Astrid and started to close the gap, the gap became smaller and smaller until for the first time in five and a half years their lips locked again and they were lost in everything that was going on, the past seemed to be forgotten and all that existed was them for that moment

They broke the kiss and smiled "come on let's go home" he said as he grabbed her hand and started to walk back but something stopped him, he looked back and saw Astrid refusing to follow "w-what's wrong?" he said taking both her hands

Astrid managed to free a hand and held it up in the air so he could see the ring on her finger, she started to sob "my heart is and always will be yours Hiccup...but by law my body belongs to Drago, I'm sorry" she said with tears falling all around her

"No....you are not Drago's property...you are Astrid Haddock...my wife, and I'm going to get you back" He said as he wrapped his arms round her and held her close to him "How?" she asked wiping the tears from her cheeks

"I'm going to fight Drago, and win you back" he said
