I lay on the window sill,
eyes latched to the winged creatures.
Halt! Ears hear the approach
of the two legged ones.I remain still,
looking for my favorite human's features.
New people encroach.
Run! Run! Run!Safe under their sleeping quarter,
I wait for the threat to leave.
My human comes to visit,
but I will not relent to pets.I wish their stay was shorter,
but finally I am relieved.
They are done with their business.
To the food I jet!
