When a girl sees the privilege of men
she does not wish to marry into it;
if she leaves she is again imperfect
pressured to feel secure and protected.
Now the women pick up bleeding pens
writing our future as we know it.
Suffering events of the current
while others remain unaffected.
You've tried to give us definition
of which we've gravely tried to withstand.
You can't comprehend our resistance
though it's honestly a simple thing.
Despite our repeated petitions
Society does not understand:
You've turned daughters into princesses
when they should have been raised to be Kings.
