'BOUT YOU
002Heading downstairs after hearing her mother call her, Isla felt her heart beating fast, as if she were running a marathon. "What's taking you so long, Isla? It's embarrassing to make your tutor wait for you," her mother frowned, grabbing Isla's arm and dragging her to the living room where her tutor awaited.
"Ms. Attitude is here," Rolling his eyes when he saw his younger sister, the man beside Joshua couldn't help but chuckle. "Wonwoo, sorry for making you wait. This child needs to learn a lesson about managing time wisely," her mother shot her a glare, then turned her gaze back to Wonwoo and smiled at the young man.
Isla pouted, looking up to meet Wonwoo's gaze. Therefore, the young woman felt time freeze, sensing that Wonwoo and she were the only people in the room. But her moment was ruined when her brother stood up from the couch to block her view of Wonwoo.
"Shouldn't you be greeting your tutor first, Isabella?" Hearing her brother mention her real name, Isla rolled her eyes at him before bowing. "Hello, my name is Hong Isabella. I'm in my 12th year and am struggling with physics," she introduced herself, smoothing her hair back after standing up properly.
"Hi, Isabella. It's been a while."
Walking to the man who was sitting in her gaming chair, Isla took a stool from the corner of her room and plopped herself down beside Wonwoo. "Let's start," the man began, opening the textbook placed on her desk.
Nodding as she watched the man find a page while sipping on her banana milk, Isla couldn't help but steal glances at his side profile, which looked extremely attractive. "Let's start with math since I heard you've been struggling with that subject for who knows how long," he said, making Isla let out a laugh.
"So you remember me being scolded for failing my math subject?" Isla smiled, gazing at the man as she played with the straw. "Of course. I remember you being spanked by your mother after you told them about the trouble you'd caused," Wonwoo replied, making Isla frown.
"Well, let's move on from that," he decided, not letting Isla utter a word. "11 times 24?" Wonwoo suddenly asked out of nowhere, causing Isla to furrow her eyebrows, taken aback by the sudden question. "I don't know," she answered, completely dumbfounded by his question.
"It's completely easy. The answer is 264," he corrected, causing Isla to bite her lower lip. "How did you solve that so easily?" she questioned, amazed that Wonwoo had easily answered his own question. "It's easy. Just add two and four, then place it between the two and four," he explained.
Isla let out a gasp, finally realizing that it's really easy to solve a multiplication question. "What about 11 x 36?" Wonwoo asked once again, making Isla smirk. "396!" she confidently answered. "You're a fast learner," he remarked, biting the inside of his cheek to prevent himself from smiling at the woman who wouldn't stop grinning.
"Don't underestimate the knowledge of Isla!" She said, pointing at her brain, causing the man to let out a laugh at her actions. "Yeah, yeah. Whatever you say. Math lord," he sarcastically remarked before moving on to physics, which Isla needed to learn about before the year ends.
"So, how's your tutoring with Wonwoo?" Gazing up at her mother, who started the conversation as they ate, Isla couldn't help but spare a glance in Wonwoo's direction, who was already looking at her. "Um, I learned about energy transformations and the forces that affect motion," she answered, making her mother nod.
"Wonwoo, I'm glad you initiated tutoring our lovely Isabella. She really needs improvement in physics," the man beside her chuckled. "Of course. I have to tutor Isla, and what can I say? She's a fast learner," he commented, grinning at the woman who was flustered.
"Her being a fast learner? Please, since when?" Her brother snorted, causing Isla to shoot him a death glare. "If you don't have anything good to say, I think you should shut your mouth," Isla advised, sarcastically smiling before shoveling a spoonful of rice and chicken into her mouth.
"You're not invited to our samgyupsal dinner tomorrow," Joshua declared, making the woman let out a dramatic gasp. "What? You never told me you're having a samgyupsal dinner tomorrow?" She exclaimed.
"Why would I tell you when Wonwoo was supposed to be the one inviting you?"
