Caleb P.O.V.

"Happy birthday daddy," Cecilia said.

"Thank you baby girl," I smiled.

I was outside on the back patio for breakfast. We had an amazing view and it was a beautiful day here in Cancun.

"I see you two started breakfast without me," Veronica said as she joined us outside.

She came up behind me and ran her hands over my shoulders.

She placed a kiss to my cheek then sat down beside me.

"Happy birthday Caleb," she said.

"Thanks baby," I said.

"I have a special present for you later on tonight," she said in a seductive tone.

"Oh really," I said with a smirk.

"Yes lover," she said as she ran her hand over my thigh.

"Daddy we go on jet ski," Cecilia said.

"Yeah baby girl we will," I said.

"Yay," Cecilia smiled.

"Cecilia did your daddy tell you the good news?" Veronica asked.

Cecilia shook her head no confused. I was confused too.

"You're going to be a big sister soon," Veronica said.

I nearly spit out my orange juice.

"My mommy's pregnant?" Cecilia asked.

"No... but soon I will be. Your father and I are going to give you a little brother or sister. Would you like that," Veronica smiled at Cecilia.

Cecilia looked skeptical then looked at me.

"Only make baby with mommy, daddy," Cecilia said as she looked at me.

Cecilia went back to eating her pancakes and I heard Veronica let out a low sigh.

My daughter knows her mother and I aren't together and are with other people. I just guess she didn't understand that meant if she got any siblings they wouldn't be made by her mother and I but by our new spouses.

After breakfast I left Cecilia in the living room with her ipad while Veronica and I had a talk in private.

"You need to explain to her that we're going to expand this family and anymore children you have will be had by me not Zoey," Veronica said as she paced the floor.

I sat on the bed not knowing how to navigate this situation. My child is advanced but she's still only three years old.

"I'll explain all that when the time is right," I said.

"Caleb the time is now. We're going to start trying for a child. You said it yourself this morning that you wanted to practice for Caleb junior," Veronica said.

"It was a figure of speech baby. I already told you on the plane I want to enjoy this time with Cecilia. I'm not ready for another child just yet," I said.

"Caleb are you getting cold feet about us starting a family?" Veronica asked.

"Baby no. I just... we've both got a lot going on career wise and I don't think now is the best time for us to be actively trying for a child," I said.

"Well if not now then when? Because I'm not waiting another five years until I'm forty to start trying to have a child of my own," Veronica argued.
