Zoey P.O.V.

I sat in my office at my desk looking over some new campaigns. I worked as a project manager.

Three years ago when I started working as an assistant for Jasmine I never thought I'd build a career with her company. I mean her company was in the beginning stages at that time and in three years time it was a full-blown success now.

She started building a huge client list and doing many marketing deals with big brands.

Now she is able to work from home as I over see a lot going on day-to-day here in the office.

"Knock, Knock," I heard a male voice.

I looked up from the paperwork on my desk and saw K.J. standing in the doorway with roses.

"What are you doing here? Have you signed the annulment papers yet," I said as I went back to focusing on my work.

I heard footsteps and then heard the door close.

I looked up again and saw K.J. walking over to my desk.

He placed the roses down and came over behind me. He turned my chair around and looked down at me.

"Where is your ring?" he asked noticing my bare ring finger.

"I took it off. There is really no point to me wearing it anymore don't you think," I said.

"Zoey baby we can get through this. I took the DNA test and I'm just waiting for the results," K.J. said as he crouched down in front of me.

"K.J. we rushed into marriage. I can't help but feel like you only wanted to elope to trap me. Well you will not trap me. Regardless of the DNA test results I still want to annul our marriage. I think it's best we just go our separate ways," I said.

"Is this something Caleb and his parents have got into your head. I know his mother is representing you," K.J. said in an slightly annoyed tone.

"This has nothing to do with Caleb or his parents. This has everything to do with your dishonesty and lack of regard for my feelings. K.J. you cheated and might have created a whole child with another woman," I said hurt.

"And? You have a whole child with another man and I accept that," K.J. argued.

"First of all my daughter was born before I even met you! This child you might have created was convinced during our relationship! Don't you dare try to compare us like we're on the same playing field," I said getting upset.

How dare K.J. try to justify his cheating and possible child by acting like my situation was the same. I never cheated on him and created a child out of an infidelity.

I got up from my chair and headed towards the door. I wanted K.J. to leave.

"I have work to do. It's time for you to leave," I said as I opened the door.

"I'm not signing those papers! I'm not going to let you just throw away what we have like it means nothing," K.J. argued as he stood up.

"You threw away our relationship the second you cheated. Look I've been unfaithful in the past and know the kind of pain it can cause a person. I refuse to endure that kind of pain with you when I don't have to," I said.

"It's because of him right? You know you and Caleb act all innocent when you both aren't!" K.J. said angrily.

"What are you talking about?" I questioned confused.
