"Got the condo. Thanks for the help. Bean's so excited."

I smiled glad that I knew my little girl was happy.

I was at the restaurant with Evan waiting for the bar supply truck to come by.

I had wired some money to Zoey's bank account so she could get the condo for her and Cecilia.

I knew my daughter liked it and Zoey too. My child is use to a certain way of living and I explained that to Zoey so she had to put her pride aside and accept my help.

"What you smiling so hard about?" Evan asked as he came up to the bar.

"Nothing. Zoey just got a place for her and my baby girl," I said.

"This again," Evan sighed with an eye roll.

"Man shut up. Zoey and K.J. are over as well as Veronica and I," I said.

"Hold up you and Veronica are really done?" Evan questioned.

"Yeah and it's honestly for the best. I saw her true colors and I dodged a bullet by not marrying her," I said.

"So what you're sniffing around Zoey again?" Evan asked.

"Maybe..." I smirked.

"Man you could seriously do better and I say this with love. Can't you see by now that Zoey is a groupie hoe who seems to only want to be involved with wealthy dudes. She's a gold digger," Evan accused.

"Evan look I get you're just looking out for me as a friend but please just stop. Zoey is the mother of my child and she deserves respect for that alone. Also she isn't a gold digger. Trust me I had to plead with her to even accept my money to get her and Cecilia's new place," I explained.

"Seriously? Now you're paying her rent on top of child support. You're just letting that hoe bleed you dry," Evan said as he shook his head in disappointment.

"I don't pay child support," I said shutting Evan up.

"What!" Evan said shocked.

"Zoey and I spend equal time with our baby girl so she's never put me on child support even when she's had every legal right to. Even if she wanted to be spiteful. She's never done it so lay off," I said.

"She only left you alone because she had K.J.'s bank account," Evan scoffed.

"I'm done talking to you about Zoey. Just keep your opinions about her to yourself," I said.

"Whatever," Evan said.

I rolled my eyes as the supplier walked in.

"Hey guys the truck is outside," our supplier said.

Evan and I walked outside with the supplier to make sure all our bar supplies were here.

Even went over the invoice as I checked the boxes as they came off the truck.

Once everything was put back in our stock room Evan signed the delivery forms.

"Hey boys," I heard a familiar voice.

I turned around and saw Courtney.

"Courtney what are you doing here?" I asked.

"Evan invited me. I told him how our dinner went horribly wrong. I wanted to apologize in person for my behavior," Courtney apologized.
