Zoey P.O.V.

I felt so nervous as Caleb drove us to my doctor's appointment. Today we'd see how far along I was and possibly hear the baby's heartbeat.

Caleb was holding my hand and I think he could feel how nervous I was because he brought my hand up to his lips and kissed it softly.

"Relax baby," he said.

"I just want the baby to be healthy and yours," I said honestly.

Caleb didn't say anything. I think he was starting to realize we were back to where we started when we had been in this position last time.

"I know I have no right to be upset but I really wish you could have been more patient when we got back from Vegas. You shouldn't have slept with K.J.," Caleb said tensely.

"He was my husband. I had every right to sleep with him if I wanted to. I thought you admitted that," I said caught off guard with Caleb's feelings.

"I do realize he was legally your husband so yeah you could have screwed him as much as you wanted. But I told you how I felt in Vegas. We made love and-"

"And you got back here and didn't break up with Veronica like you promised. Once again you gave me an empty promise!" I argued.

"She had a miscarriage!" Caleb said raising his voice.

"If she was even really pregnant to begin with!" I argued back.

I let go of Caleb's hand and his phone rang.

He sighed and answered the phone from his steering wheel.

"Hello," Caleb said as he answered his phone.

"Hey Caleb. I need you to come to the restaurant. I'm trying to stock the bar shelves and I can't reach some of the boxes in the storage room," Courtney said over the phone.

I sighed and rolled my eyes.

I was sure Courtney didn't need any help.

"Courtney I'm busy call Evan. I gotta go," Caleb said then hung up.

Caleb pulled into the parking garage at the doctor's office.

He parked his car and I unbuckled my seat belt and got out quickly.

I thought Caleb and I were in this together and working towards reconciliation. But all he seemed to be doing was blaming for the current situation.

I headed towards the elevators and I could hear footsteps catching up with me.

I felt a hand touch the small of my back as I pressed the elevator call button.

"I don't want to argue Zoe. I was just expressing how I truly feel. I thought we were going to be honest with each other and you remember the therapist we saw said we shouldn't hold back our feelings whether they be good, bad, or ugly," Caleb recalled.

"Don't touch me," I said as I shrugged him off and the elevator doors opened.

I walked into the elevator and Caleb was right on my heels.

I reached for the button to press the level my doctor's office was on but Caleb blocked me and pressed the close button then stopped the elevator.

He grabbed me and pressed me against the wall then placed his hands on either side of my head.

"Move we're going to be late," I said frustrated.

"No we're going to talk because I refuse to walk into that office looking anything but like we're a happy in love couple," Caleb said frustrated.
