Everything Will Be Alright ↠ Henjei [ COMPLETED ]

"Romeo and Juliet" Pt. 6

     "Romeo and Juliet? You're such a nerd." I teased Henrik as he picked the most cliche movie possible.

      "It's Even and Isak's movie! We've gotta watch it." He laughed, playfully punching me in the shoulder.

      I raised an eyebrow at him. "Or you're just swooned over Leonardo DiCaprio."

      He shrugged, "Who isn't?"

      We had some snacks for the movie which included: hot chocolate, popcorn, chocolate and gummy bears. We turned the lights low and had 5 different blankets on us as we got comfortable on the couch.

     Even though we sat next to each other, there was a small gap between us. I kept noticing it for reasons I don't know why, but it was bugging me.

     The movie started and we both got really into it, i was surprised at myself to be honest. The only sounds were from the movie, our breathing, and occasionally our loud munching on popcorn which we didn't mind.

     A lot of the scenes in the movie reminded me of the parallels we created in SKAM season 3 between Even and Isak. I pointed them out to him every time I saw one, even though i knew he had already thought of it before me.

     I shifted over in my spot, which managed to fill in that gap between us a little bit. Our shoulders brushed against each other making a warm feeling in my chest at the contact.

     Towards the end of the movie, I noticed Henrik was being really quiet. I looked over at him as I took a bite of chocolate, realizing he was asleep. His head was tilted to the side resting on his shoulder, eyes closed, mouth parted slightly; i chuckled at the sight.

     I decided to lower the volume on the movie until it was over. Once the credits starting rolling, I shut the T.V off with the remote and leaned back onto the couch.

     I looked back at him, admiring his gorgeous features that i could never get enough of. I could go on and on about this man sitting in front of me. Shoot, I was right now wasn't i? I hesitantly reached over, my hand hovered over his cheek. As gently as possible, I brushed my fingers against his warm skin. I acted as if he was as fragile as could be, I didn't want to wake him up, he looked so peaceful. A strand of loose hair covered his eyes, i pushed it out of the way which resulted in me running my hand through his hair. Quickly, i pulled back once I realized what I was doing. Red filled my cheeks, my forehead felt hot. I got up and decided to get some water, this was becoming weird.

What are you doing, Tarjei? Stop being a creep!

Once I had gotten my water which I didn't even want, i walked back to Henrik. I set the glass down and sat beside him again. Should I wake him? Would he be mad if I did? Would he be mad if I didn't?

Unsure of to do, I just decided to let him sleep, I was too nervous to wake up up anyway. I covered him up with a blanket and shut off the lights before heading to my room.

It was almost 8pm, I would've just let Henrik crash here but I was worried he might have plans tomorrow. I didn't have his girlfriends number and even if I did, that would be my worst option right now.

     I'll just let him sleep for a bit and wait for him to wake up; if he's not awake by 9 I'll wake him.

     That didn't last very long though, because about 30 minutes later, the doorbell rang.

      I got up from bed and headed to the door. Geez, who was it now? I looked over at Henrik who was still sound asleep and then back at the door. I opened it only to see Henrik's girlfriend, Lea.

     It went completely silent. We stared at each other awkwardly. I didn't even know what to say, I was completely stiff.

     "Uh... is Henrik here?" She muttered, concern peaking in her tone.

     I cleared my throat, right when I was about to respond, someone else had for me.

     "Yeah, I am."

     I turned around and saw Henrik who looked exhausted. He still had a sleepy voice, it was adorable- but I couldn't even enjoy it due to the situation.

     "I think I'm just gonna crash here tonight, Lea. As long as it's okay with Tarjei?" He then said, looking at me for approval- which I of course said yes.

     If this was a cartoon, Lea would have steam coming out of her ears right now. "Can I talk to Henrik?" Her eyes met mine, "In private?"

     I decided to leave the two, not wanting to cause any problems for either of them. I headed for my room but stopped once I was in the hallway. I know it was wrong but I had to eavesdrop, I needed to know. I stood just behind the wall and listened closely.

     "I already told you, we're just catching up." Henrik's voice was strained, he sounded fed up.

     "Catching up?! Considering the way you look right now, I'm pretty sure we have different ideas of catching up." Lea argued, me rolling my eyes unintentionally.

     "We were watching a movie, I fell asleep. Not a big deal."

     "It's a big deal to me. Please, just come home."

     It went quiet from there, I wanted to peek out and see what was happening but I was too nervous. Finally, I heard the door shut. Once I had built up the courage to look, I looked out to see an empty room.

     They left.
