- Wednesday 10 am

I was sitting down at my dining table, quietly eating my breakfast of scrambled eggs and bacon with the occasional sound of my fork scraping against my plate. I cringed at the sound, scrunching my face up into a grimace.

Living alone was not as great as I thought it'd be.

I moved out of my parents at 18 and a half. At the time, I thought I'd be able to focus on my scripts better if there was less distractions, but I underestimated how lonely it would actually be. Everything comes with a price though, right?

Needless to say, I was getting tired of spending every breakfast, lunch and dinner alone.

Henrik popped into my mind- maybe he'd be up to meet up today? I got up from my chair, making my way over to my room where my phone was.

My screen lit up, and as if I was psychic, I had a message notification from Henrik already.

"Hey, a new bar opened downtown. Join me tonight? :)" - Henrik

I didn't even realize it, but a small smile tugged at the corners of my lips once I read the message. A warm feeling settled in my stomach as I typed out my reply. "Sounds good. See you later ;)"

Was that winky face a bit too much?

Before I could overthink it, I clicked send.

I set my phone down and for a few minutes, just sat on the edge of my bed letting thoughts of Henrik imprint themselves in my brain. I didn't want to get my hopes up for anything, but I couldn't help being a little giddy to see him tonight.

- Wednesday 8:47 pm

After Henrik sent me the address of the new bar, I hopped in my car and began the 10 minute drive from my house to the location.

Once I arrived, I was a bit relieved to see his car parked outside of the small building. I shoved my hands in my pockets and walked into the pub. As soon as I walked in, i got lost in a sea of people. I had no clue it'd be this packed already. I was used to being in crowded places, but I was literally getting pushed every which way, causing a little bit of anxiety to rush through my body.

I could feel pressure rising in my chest and geez, it was hot. My forehead was already starting to feel sticky and I wasn't sure if it was because I was nervous or because of all the body heat surrounding me- maybe both.

Before i could react, a hand gripped my wrist catching me off guard, and I was suddenly being pulled away somewhere.

"Um, excuse me-" I said loudly, knitting my eyebrows together as I looked down at the hand holding onto me.

The person turned around, and that's when I realized it was just the guy I came to meet. I felt a bit relieved to see his face, thankful that I wasn't being dragged away by some stranger.

"Crowded in here, isn't it? You were about to get trampled over there." Henrik teased, a mischievous smile on his lips.

"Yeah." I agreed a bit breathlessly and chuckled, my cheeks tinged with a light pink.

For a couple seconds, we just stared at each other blankly, not saying anything- just letting each other's presence soak in.

"Beers?" He asked eagerly, raising his eyebrows in that stupidly adorable way he always did.

I nodded and he led me to the back of the room where the drinks were. We sat on some barstools and ordered a couple beers.

"Here you go." The bartender said and handed each of us a beer.

We thanked him and met each others gaze. "I'm glad you could make it tonight." He started, "How've you been? How are your parents?"

I took a sip of my beer, "Yeah- they're pretty good I think, and uh, me too. What about your family?"

"They're good. I'm pretty sure my mom is the biggest Evak fan." He laughed and nudged me with his elbow. "I'm serious though, she constantly brings you up and calls you her son in law..."

The rest of Henrik's words were a blur to me. I just couldn't focus on what he was saying while staring into his dreamy eyes. I wanted nothing more than to just cut him off right now by kissing him, but I knew that would be so wrong. He has a girlfriend who he loves and who loves him back. I took a big draft of my beer, an overwhelming urge to get wasted at the thought of Lea and Henrik being together.

"It's pretty sweet, she misses you. We should go see her sometime." Henrik's words faded back into my earshot causing me to snap out of the trance i was in before.

"I'd love to." I said nonchalantly, coming off uninterested in the topic even though I didn't intend to.

An awkward tension filled the air. I wasn't sure if it was because of my mood change or what, I didn't say anything wrong, did I? I sneaked a glance at him from the corner of my eye while he took a sip of his beer.

"Did you get that email? The one about the SKAM reunion party?" I said, trying my best to lighten up to mood- and it worked, because his expression completely brightened.

"I did!" He beamed, "I thought it was a great idea. Next Saturday, right?"

I loved that smile. It was so contagious, one look at it and you wouldn't even realize you were smiling as well until your jaw started to ache. He was literally radiating with glee and confidence, it was so intoxicating to the point where I didn't even need alcohol to feel this way, I just needed Henrik.

"Yeah, it'll be nice to see everyone again. Especially Julie."

"I haven't seen Julie since, geez...- I don't even know."

I chuckled and drank another big portion of my beer.

"I'm definitely gonna have to drive you home tonight if you keep drinking like that."
