Karian stood next to Bakugou and Kirishima as they waited for the stragglers to cross the finish line. "What do you think the next event will be?" Kirishima asked.

"I don't care what it is," Bakugou growled. "I'll win it this time."

"I'm telling you," Karian said. "Be glad you didn't come in first. There will be some kind of catch." Bakugou was upset he got fourth place behind Shoto. Karian found out Kirishima got tenth place followed by his copy, at least that's what Kirishima called the guy. Karian just raised an amused eyebrow at it but didn't inquire further.

Soon Midnight began to talk about the next event. The top 42 in the race would be the ones to move on. Karian glanced up at the screen as it showed the next event would be a cavalry race. Teams of 2-4 students. The riders would be wearing headbands with points on it, that other teams would be vying to steal. Each person had a point value depending on what position they came in the race. The team total would be on the riders headbands. So 42nd place got 5 points and it went up by five from there. All Except first place. First place was worth ten million.

"Poor Midoirya," Karian mumbled. He glanced around. He really hated being on teams. This was going to suck but he had to try. He looked at Midoirya. Anyone on that team would have a giant target on their back. But it might be an interesting challenge. Damn, Bakugou's competitive spirit was rubbing off on him.

He glanced at said firey blonde. Who was completely surrounded by people who wanted to be on his team. Part of Karian wanted to go join his team, but he knew that one would be raging the whole time. Looked like Shoto already had a full team. Wanna be Speedracer, lightning rod, and the human 3D printer.

Karian felt eyes on him and looked around. His gaze went up into the stands and met his fathers. He could almost guess what his father was thinking. He sighed and walked over to the green haired boy. "Hey Midoirya. Still got room on your team?" he asked. Midiorya turned to him with tears in his eyes and Karian raised an eyebrow at him.

"Really Kimura?" Midoirya asked in disbelief. "You want to be on my team?"

"Wouldn't have asked if I didn't," Karian said. "Plus denying Bakugou first place is going to be fun." Karian said boredly. Midoirya looked at him shocked at what her said. He glanced over at Uraraka who was also a little surprised at Karian suddenly joining them. Soon Midoirya got the shadow bird boy on their team as well. Who's name, Karian learned, was Fumikage Tokoyami.

When Bakugou noticed Karian was on Midoriya's team instead of his own, Karian felt the boys crimson glare. He looked over at the firey blonde who claimed to be Karian's friend. He felt his lips twitch and slowly they curved up into a smirk. Karian wasn't sure what came over him, but then he dug his own grave. "Good Luck Kacchan." Karian swore the blonde was going to explode before the event even began.

Soon it was time to get into position. Midoirya was going to be their rider. Tokoyami was the front man. Karian and Uraraka brought up the back and it was a little awkward with the height difference. Karian had almost 9 inches on her. He took Midoirya on his shoulders. He put a hand on Tokoyami's shoulder and one on Uraraka's.

"Are you sure you're ok with this Kimura?" Uraraka asked. Karian nodded.

"Midoirya isn't that heavy. Plus what else can we do with the height difference. Don't worry about it Uraraka." Karian said. She nodded but was still unsure about it. In reality Karian's body was screaming in pain. He already did a lot in the race and now was doing this. But like always, Karian just ignored the pain and pressed on. Plus his father was watching. If he didn't put some effort into things, then he would only be hurt worse later.

The event was moments away from starting. Karian already knew everyone would be gunning for them. He took a deep breath and let it out slowly. He guessed he was ready for this. The go signal was given and multiple teams turned to rush them. Though before Karian and his team could move, the ground turned loose like quick sand and they began to sink.
