Karian was sitting on the floor leaning against the wall in some random hallway. They had announced the one on one tournament for the finalists. Now there was recreation events going on for others to show off before the tournament started. He was breathing heavily and trying to focus to forget the pain. He heard footsteps walking closer.

"I've been looking all over for you," came a familiar voice. He looked up and saw Bakugou. "Heard from Kirishima that you were dragged off by Black Steel during the break."

"Yea my father showed me how my performance so far has made him feel," Karian coughed. Bakugou frowned looking over the male. Noticing even Karian's cheek was bruised.

"Why don't you go see Recovery Girl?" Bakugou asked.

"And tell her what?" Karian asked. "How would I explain my injuries? My scars? Who would even believe me about what a renowned pro hero is doing to me? Besides what would revealing it really get me?" He asked as he forced himself to his feet. He winced heavily from the pain in his body. "Pity? Labeled as weak?"

"Freedom," Bakugou said.

"Only if people believed me," Karian said. "Only if I could prove what's happened to me. And if if someone did believe me, what would happen to the twins? I'm under the age of 18. They won't let me care for them. We have no living family." He sighed. Bakugou didn't know what to say to the male.

Karian walked out onto the stage with a sigh. He had his hands in his pockets. He really didn't want to do this but had no choice. Iida was to be his first opponent. Karian had his bands back in place and he was semi-ready for this.

"You're fast Iida," Karian said. "And talented but I will be the one continuing today."

"We shall see,Kimura," Iida said as he adjusted his glasses.  They were given the signal to start and Iida began to race around him in a circle. Karian didn't move nor did he seem to even be bothered by what was going on.  He just seemed emotionless and bored. Two metal spheres left him. Quickly they formed a rod and tripped Iida. Then pinned him to the ground by his hands and feet. Iida struggled for a few moments before giving up. Karian was declared the winner and he pulled his metal back. He turned and walked out without a word. He didn't go up to stands with his classmates. He couldn't be around them right now. Bakugou would make him lose his cold uncaring focus. He had to stay focused to not succumb to the pain. To keep focused so as not to be bothered by mercilessly taking out his opponents.

Next was his match against the class 1-B girl. He found out her name was Ibara Shiozaki and her quirk seemed to be her vine like hair. She could control it and grow it at will. He walked out looking bored again.

"Hello Kimura," Shiozaki said. "I'm afraid simply pinning me will not win this for you."

"Don't worry," Karian said. "I have other tricks up my sleeve." They were given the signal to start. Her vine like hair came streaming towards him while she stood in a praying like position. Quickly, in what seemed flashes of light, the vines were cut. But in reality four crescent blades made from his metal stretched out and sharp, flying around. They flew through the air soundlessly, cutting closer and closer to her. No matter how many vines she sent out, the blades could not be stopped. In fear she kept stepping back. Karian just watched emotionlessly. Soon she fell out of bounds, though his metal caught her gently. The blades quickly softening so as not to harm her. He set her gently on the ground. She looked up at him with wide surprised eyes. She was out of bounds and he was declared the winner. He called back his metal and walked off. His next match would either be Midoirya or Todoroki, though he suspected it would be Todoroki.
