(i randomly thought of this like yesterday and idk if i should feel ashamed or not lmaoo)
Briggan had thought that Elda was just as snobby as her summoner, for a while.
But, he was beginning to have a change of heart. He watched her lick her paw, drawing it over her ear, eyes still glued on the two boys huddled near the bottom of the hill.
Elda dropped her large, black paw, exhaling deeply. "I'll never understand what my boy sees in that shepherd."
After Devin and Conor had gotten a little closer, Briggan had found himself being around Elda more and more.
"I'll never understand what Conor sees in that brat." Briggan snorted, eyeing Devin Trunswick pointedly.
Elda hissed. "Watch it, Prince Charming."
Briggan growled in return.
Elda was quiet for a moment, before she erupted into a very cat like laugh, a deep rumble in her throat.
Briggan couldn't help but let out his own wolf-y laugh, and soon the two were rolling on the ground together.
"You sound sooo very threatening." Elda purred, her words thick with sarcasm.
"You're a kitten." Briggan fired back playfully.
Elda rolled over, pinning Briggan under her. "A dangerous kitten. I wouldn't fight if I were you."
Briggan launched himself at her chest, and the two wrestled. Though Elda was big and quick, Briggan was strategic and strong.
They rolled around, farther down the hill without even realizing. Elda swatted at Briggan, but he responded with trying to bite her. Elda pulled back quickly.
They rolled and rolled, until a shocked noise caught them off guard.
Or rather, two shocked noises.
Elda stared at Devin, while Briggan stared at Conor. The boys were obviously not expecting their spirit animals to come flying down the hill beside them.
Elda made an innocent rumbling noise, even as Briggan towered over her.
"Dear Tellun." Conor said finally.
"My spirit animal is stronger than yours." Devin sniffed.
"No, she's not!" Conor argued.
Devin laughed, just as Elda flipped over, knocking Briggan off of her.
"You are pretty strong." Briggan admitted, nodding his head.
"I don't need reminding." Elda smiled a feline grin.
Briggan grinned back, in his own wolf-ish way.
