I laughed as I watched Calum, Michael and Ashton spin around on the ride, I think it was called The Storm. They were spinning around really, really fast. I sat on the seats nearby and nibbled on the massive ball of fairy floss that I held in my hand. As the boys came around, I put my SLR camera to my eye and snapped the perfect shot. Their faces were priceless, I couldn't help but laugh.
The boys walked off the ride, stumbling over their own feet. Popping another piece of fairy floss in my mouth, I went over to meet them.
"You should have seen your faces," I laughed.
"Were they incredibly manly?" Michael asked.
"Yes, if your definition of manly is this," I said, showing them the photo I had taken.
Calum's eyes widened. "You are never, ever, ever going to show that to anyone."
"Well that's my decision to make isn't it?" I teased.
"Hazel Francessca, hand over the camera." Calum held out his hand.
"Never," I stated.
"Now."
"Nah-uh."
"Hazel Francessca."
"Calum Hood."
"I'm warning you..."
"I'm telling you..."
Without warning, Calum lunged at me, reaching for my camera. I turned my back to him, but he had surprisingly long arms and big hands. He leaned on my back as he reached for the camera. He was so close that I could feel the warmth radiating from his body. I winced at the cringey-ness of that statement and immediately took it back.
I cradled the camera in my arms but somehow Calum was able to prise it from my fingers.
"My precious," he said, imitating Gollum and holding the camera in his own hands.
"Oh my God. She looks exactly like Katy Perry!" I exclaimed.
"What? Where?" Calum spun around and practically dropped the camera. I leaped and fortunately was able to catch it before it hit the ground. Calum turned back around, suddenly realising.
"There was no girl that looked like Katy Perry, was there?"
I shook my head.
"Very smart plan. But how did you know?" he asked.
"Those two weeks you thought I didn't notice you. Well I did notice you."
"You never cease to surprise me Hazel Francessca."
"Surprise is the spice of life. Now how about we go do something instead of standing here like weirdos?"
"Actually, we better get going," Ashton (I think it was Ashton?) piped up from behind me. I had almost forgotten that he and Michael were there.
"Okay I'll see you guys on Tuesday at 8?" Calum said.
Both of the boys nodded and left. With both Michael and Ashton gone and Yasmin and Luke somewhere off by themselves, it left just Calum and I.
We slowly walked around the school, talking to each other.
"So Hazel Francessca, tell me a bit about yourself," Calum smiled.
"Not mush to tell really. Just a girl with a big dream," I shrugged.
"Big dream aye?"
Sighing, I nodded. "Very big dream."
"What is it?"" Calum asked.
"You'll probably laugh at me.
"I promise I won't. I even pinky swear." He held up his pinky finger and I couldn't help but chuckle.
"Well, if you're going to pinky swear, I have to tell you. Well... " My phone started ringing and interrupted me.
I checked caller ID and fear swept over me.
Hesitantly, I answered. "Hello?"
Dad screamed at me from the other end of the phone. I didn't dare argue with him. Especially since it was that time of day. As he continued screaming, I bit my lip to stop myself from crying. He sounded angrier than he did most nights.
After calling me a string of names, he hung up on me. I let my phone drop from my hands.
"Um - I have to.. to go..." I stuttered and turned away.
"Wait!" Calum called after me. "Is everything okay?"
I grimaced. "Yeah. Everything's just normal."
A/N: Guys if this chapter isn't very good, it's probably because I wrote it at like twelve last night or twelve this morning, I'm not sure which one it is but you get my drift. And yeah Yasmin is going to kill me guys (I'm talking about the real person, not the character) so if I don't put up anymore chapters, you know why! So yeah the usual drill, tell me what you liked and what you didn't like :)
