I jumped off the swing and headed home. After my big day out with Calum, I'd walked him home. He offered to walk me home but I didn't want to go home so soon. Instead I walked to the park and just sat there, digesting the day. Thinking.
Making my way home, I dragged my feet. I was in that kind of mood where I know I should have been happy, but I just wasn't.
I snuck in the front door, hoping that no one would be home. I just wasn't in the mood for screaming right now. Luckily, no one was home so I headed up to my room, prepared to just blast some Masketta Fall. I opened the door of my room and had to do a double take.
I was so confused as Yasmin looked up at me. She was sitting on my bed reading some trashy magazine.
"Why are you in my room?" I asked. I was kind of scared to be honest.
"Your mum let me in," she replied nonchalantly.
"How long have you been waiting?"
"Oh about an hour."
I laughed. Yasmin was just strange. But maybe this is what friends did, I mean what did I know about friends?
"So you and Calum aye?" she said looking up from the magazine.
"What?"
"You have to tell me everything!"she gushed. "What was it like? How did it happen?"
I held up my hands as if to say stop. "Yasmin, hold up a second. How do you know?"
Yasmin laughed. "Well Cal told Ashton about it and his sister over heard and she rang Michael who was with Luke at the time and then Luke told me about it. So are you two like together now?" she said without taking a breath.
"No way."
"But you guys kissed..."
"Yeah and?"
"Hazel, when people kiss it generally means that they're going out."
I snorted. "No, not this time. Calum and I... we're just friends. Nothing more, nothing less."
"Whatever you say... So. How did it happen?" she persisted.
I sighed. Sitting down next to her, I explained everything.
"Oh my God. That's so cute! It sounds like something from a fanfic!"
I stared at her. What language was she talking. "What the hell is a fanfic?"
Yasmin's mouth dropped. "You've never read a fanfic?"
"Oh so it's something you read?"
"Get me a laptop. Now." I snatched up my Macbook and handed it to Yasmin. She tapped ferociously at the keys, so hard that I was surprised they didn't break. After opening tab after tab, Yasmin shoved the laptop towards me.
"Read," she demanded.
"I don't have my glasses. It's blurry."
"Where are your glasses?" she asked.
I sighed. "I must have left them at Calum's house after I got changed."
"Why did you get changed?" Yasmin started giggling.
"No. No. No! It's not like that. I borrowed his sisters clothes so that's why I got changed. Gosh, you're so dirty minded."
"Can you blame me? I'm just a fangirl who lives on a different continent to her future husbands."
I stared at Yasmin. "I'm not going to even ask what a fangirl is."
Yasmin laughed and threw a pillow at me. We both just laid there and laughed. We laughed at everything and at nothing all at the same time.
