"Oh hey! You must be Hazel. Calum's spoken about you a lot," said the person standing at the door. I was still in shock. I couldn't speak. I couldn't move. I swallowed and managed to get the following words out.

"Hi. You're Braden right? From Masketta Fall."

He smiled goofily. "Yeah I am. Is Calum in? I just had to drop something off to him..."

"I'll just go grab him for you. Unless you wanted to come in for a tea or something?"

"Nah. We're just on our way to Queenslad for a gig so the quicker we get there the better."

"Okay, just one second." I ran back through the house and pounced on Calum.

"Surprise," he smiled.

"You organised this?"

Calum nodded. "That's why I was so late. Braden rang up and said he'd be late because they were stuck in traffic and I knew that if you waited around here long enough you'd want to go home."

"You are amazing!" I gasped, pulling him into a tight hug. I let go, suddenly remembering. "Braden said he had something for you."

Calum grinned. "You wait right here."

Calum padded out of the dull longue room and I could hear him mummuring to Braden. The door shut and Calum came back in, a neatly wrapped parcle craddled in his arms.

"What's that?" I asked, leaning over as Calum sat down next to me.

"It's for you," he answered holding it out.

I actually wasn't expecting that. No one besides my parents had ever given me gifts. I was never allowed to have birthday parties as a kid (I never had anyone to invite anyway) and my extended family lived on the other side of the country.

"What for?" I stuttered.

"Well, it's your eighteenth soon so I decided I'd get you something..."

"That's so sweet!" I cooed. "You didn't ha-"

Calum cut me off. "I did. I'd feel terrible if I didn't get you anything. Now open it." He pushed the parcel towards me.

I carefully plucked it out of Calums grasp and stared at it. It was quite an unusual shape. Slowly, I unwrapped it, letting the contents fall into my lap. There were so any things. Signed CD's from my favourite bands like Masketta Fall, Heroes For Hire, Wake The Giants, We The In Crowd and Mayday Parade, a book about The Beatles, a pair of earrings shaped like guiatr picks and even a box set of FRIENDS. I looked up at Calum.

"This is too much. Really. Like this must have been so expensive!"

Calum wiggled his eyebrows. "I have my contacts. And anyway there's more to come. You think I'd give you your actual present before your birthday? Puh-lease! What kind of a man do you think I am?"

But before I could answer, a buzzing noise resounded through the house and Calum shot up.

"Tha fajitas!" he exclaimed, running into the kitchen and leaving me in the longue room dying of laughter.

A/N: You guys are amazing! You've gotten me over 4,000 reads! I love you all so much! Sorry I haven't been updating much thse days, it's just exams are starting to come in so I've started studying. Also, the whole fajitas thing at the end of this chapter is a FRIENDS reference so you either understood that and laughed or you just sat there going "what the hell is this girl on about?" but um yeah. Like I said y'all are amazing and hopefully the next few chapters live up to your expectations :)
