Chapter Twenty Four

After that very intense moment with Nathaniel I went back to my dorm to grab a couple of outfits before going to Damon's place. I try to avoid Mari because she's known for her excessive questions that I completely hate. I throw a bunch of clothes into my bag and text Christian to come and pick me up. I make my way out the door. By the time I make it to the first floor Lionel and I make direct eye contact. Shit.

He jogs over to me with a huge smile on his face and I fake one to avoid any questions. "Hey Leah what's up? Haven't seen you since the party." Does he not know the whole adoption thing?

"Hey, yeah it's only been a weekend right? I don't think it was that long." I say. He takes a quick glance at my bag with this familiar confused look. "Moving out? I know Mari can be a talk to the ear huh?" He says joking. I laugh and shake my head. "No actually I'm staying with Damon for a few days." His eyebrow raises in surprise. "Oh so you two are a thing or something?"

I immediately shake my head no. I know it looks weird but we aren't. "No no not at all! Christian is actually staying there too for a few days so yeah, nothing going on between me and Damon." I say clarifying.

He nods his head. "Ohh, so you and Christian are the thing then." He says out of surprise.
Does he not know the latest tea like at all?

"Why are you so late on all of this? Do they not tell you anything?" He laughs and slowly puts his hands in his pocket. "No I try and stay out of all the drama. Last time I got pulled into some shit between everyone in this damn group nearly cost me my scholarship so yeah. But if I'm being honest I know everything that goes around I just like to be to myself you know ?" Yeah he surely knows everything except my thing with Christian and my adoption issue.

"Yeah I hear you. It's okay to be that odd one in the group you know?" I say joking. He laughs. "Yeah I know that for a fact. But I just came here to pick up Mari. I'm taking her to this place that's like all about astronomy and stars and shit. She's really into that stuff." I've been so caught up in my own drama I haven't even put in the effort to see how everyone else is.

"Really? Wait, are you two like dating?" I ask him. He shakes his head. "No, but I do kind of have some unresolved feelings for her in a way. But I think she's into Jason." Dammit. I hope she's not. If she is it's fine but her and Lionel are pretty close and surprisingly cute together. I think they'd make a cute couple.

"I doubt she does. Trust me the best thing to do is tell her about them. Why do you think Christian and I are dating now? We had to express ourselves." His jaw literally drops.
Dammit Leah what the hell!

"So you and Christian are dating?" His voice gets loud. I can't believe he didn't know this. I'm surprised Jason, Sam, Tyler or anyone of those big mouths didn't spill the beans. I nervously tuck my hair behind my ear and nod.

"Yup, were official." He seems more excited than me. "That's great! I've been waiting for the longest to see when Christian would stop being a pussy and ask you out. I'm happy for you two." I smile with pleasure. I'm happy people are okay with us dating. Even if they were okay with it, we still would've dated, I think.

"Yeah thanks, we talked a lot about it so yeah-" before I could finish my sentence was interrupted by the horn of Christians Jeep.
"Oop, that's him." I say clenching the handles of my bag.

"Alright then, I'm hoping to see you guys later. Maybe at the Halloween party." He says giving me a hug. I nod. "You too. And also, I think you should tell Mari how you feel before it's too late. I promise you it'll be worth it. The way she talks about you is so adorable so I'd say that you have a shot at her." I say walking to the exit.

He smiles at me. "I will. Thanks Leah. See you around." I nod and exit out the dorms and to Christian who is waiting for me by the passenger door. "Hey beautiful." He says as I smile while walking towards him. I drop my bags and he wraps his arms around my waist bringing his lips to mine. I want to bring up the thing with Nathaniel but I stop myself from ruining the rest of this day.

He releases hisself from me and picks up my bags and putting them in the backseat. "So, what you want to do today?" He asks. Honestly, just being with him is just enough for me. I shrug. "I don't know. You choose?" I say getting in the car as he opens the door.

He has this sneaky grin on his face that I'm kind of suspicious of. "What?" I ask. He shakes his head. "I wanna take you somewhere." He says. I lean in closer to him as he's driving. "Take me anywhere you want. I could care less." I say. He nods with a smile. "Alright, but when we get there you're gonna need to put this blindfold on." He hands me the blindfold out of the glove department. Blindfold? For what?

"Okay?" I say kind of suspicious yet intrigued. Whatever he has planned I can't wait to see. "It's gonna be a while until we get there but bare with me." I nod. "Okay." I say leaning onto his shoulder as he wraps his his fingers with mine. I can't wait for whatever he has to show me.
