28. Lay There & Take It (Lilo)

Liam really values his relationship with Louis; loves him and, call him young and stupid, but really believes he'll spend the rest of his life with the man. Liam just finds Louis perfect in every aspect. He's gorgeous, funny, sarcastic, clever, and cares so much about the fans and his family and friends. Liam considers himself the luckiest man in the world to he with someone like Louis. The fact that they didn't get along at all in the beginning of the band still baffles Liam. How could he not love Louis' silly, fun, and outgoing behavior? He was uptight, Louis tells him. Harry says that Louis really helped him to loosen up and enjoy himself in small practical jokes and fun. They balance each other out; Liam is the calm one, the one who knows when playtime is over and it's time to get down to business, and Louis is the one to remind Liam that life is too short to always be serious and think about business.

They make it work. The other boys even say that it took them long enough to realize how they felt about each other and get their shit together, three years to be exact. It was one night that Liam got drunk, upset about the realization that he was in love with his best friend and the thought that Louis would never feel the same way. He was angry, though he doesn't know why, and stormed into Louis' hotel room, yelling at Louis and cursing at him. Louis was shocked and tried to calm Liam down, but before he could, and before Liam could stop himself, Liam confessed his love to him right there. What he wasn't expecting was Louis to grab his face and bring their lips together in a heated kiss, mumbling that he loved Liam too.

Things after that were smooth. They really talked about their relationship the next day when Liam was sober and decided that they wanted to give it a go. Louis took him out on a date that night and completely swept Liam off his feet. One year later, they are still in love and making it work with their band. Right now Liam is just chilling with Harry, Liam, Niall, and Zayn at Zayn's flat. Liam had originally gone over to Zayn's to write a new song, and he was only supposed to be gone for a couple of hours when he left after lunch. Then Harry and Niall showed up with some movies and beer, so Liam decided to stay for a while longer. The Hangover plays on the TV, but no one is watching, too busy interrogating Liam about his sex life with Louis because apparently, "they're bandmates and shouldn't keep stuff from each other." Liam thinks it's bullshit, but they kinda have a point. The rest of them are always so open about their own sex lives, so why shouldn't Liam and Louis?

So Liam starts talking.

"So you're telling me that you have never bottomed before in your entire life?" Zayn asks, his eyebrows raised in surprise.

"Yes. I've never bottomed before, and I really don't plan on it." Liam says, taking another swig of his beer. He might be a little drunk, is probably going to have to crash here at Zayn's for the night or call a cab.

"How long have you been having sex since you've been dating?" Harry asks.

"We started having sex about three months after we started dating." He replies, finishing off his beer.

"And he's never topped? Not even once in all those months?" Niall asks.

"Nope- well, he likes to ride me here and there, but as far as him doing the fucking? No." Liam slurs.

"Like, has he ever asked to? Does he want to?" Zayn asks, and Liam shrugs his shoulders.

"I mean, he's brought it up a couple of times, but Louis just isn't a top."

"He could be," Harry says, "I've seen Louis naked before, Liam. He's my best friend; he's a good size down there."

"Being a top has nothing to do with your size." Liam says, rolling his eyes and putting his empty beer bottle down on the coffee table. He leans forward, and sways a bit, to explain it to them.
