Louis sat on the bench at his bus stop, shutting his eyes and getting lost in the beautiful sounds of the piano playing. He had never been one to enjoy classical music but when his mother died three months ago, he found that she had a lot of tracks on her computer. Her death was quite sudden, catching everyone by surprise, when she passed in a car accident. Louis took her death the hardest; she was practically his best friend. She accepted Louis for the person that he was in his heart and not by what was on the outside. The outside was covered in tattoos, an eyebrow piercing, and dark clothing, which was obviously hard for some people to accept but not for his mom.

After he found the music on the computer, he started listening just so he could feel close to her again. After a short time, he began to understand why she listened to it in the first place. It was relaxing and soothing. He immediately learned how to play his favorite on the piano. The list on his mom's computer said that Moonlight Sonata was the most listened to track of them all, and Louis understood. It was almost a sad song, and Louis, being a creative writing student at his university, had written at least thirteen different short stories that reminded him of that song.

He opened his eyes to see the bus pulling up and stood up. He looked down at his watch. 6:43. Right on schedule. He climbed on, giving a polite smile to the driver as he showed him his card. He took his spot at a window seat, placing his bag in the seat next to him. The bus was never really empty, the exact opposite actually, but no one usually sat next to Louis. The bus stopped at six places before arriving at his university, and in that time, a whole load of people would get on. Louis tried gesturing for people to take a seat when he saw that they had to stand, but they always politely declined with a nervous smile. He was used to it by then and just used the seat for a spot for his bag.

They finally arrived at his university and he got off, but not before being the gentleman that his mother raised him to be, and picked up a wallet a pregnant woman dropped as she took Louis' seat. He handed it to her, and she looked surprised at first, taking the wallet from his hands. He gave her a polite smile before turning away and walking down the stairs of the bus. He looked back down at his watch as the bus drove away. It was again right on schedule. 7:04. Louis didn't start classes until 8:00, but he liked to arrive early so he could go to the music room and play a few instruments.

Not very many people were on campus yet. It didn't really start to get crowded until about 7:30, so it was really quiet. He made his way to the music building and held the door open for a couple of students with a fair amount of books in their arms. He walked in, the warm air feeling great against his cold skin. He walked into the practice room and laid his bag, jacket, and scarf down on a stray chair before taking a seat at the grand piano. He opened the top cover and delicately ran his hands over the keys. He only possessed a keyboard at home to practice piano on but it was nothing like this. His hands easily found the right keys, and in a matter of seconds, they were moving across them with such grace.

His fingers had memorized the movements so he allowed his eyes to shut so he could enjoy this song properly. He was so caught up in the sound of music that he didn't notice the unfamiliar eyes watching his every key stroke. He didn't hear the footsteps walking up behind him, and he certainly didn't feel another body have a seat next to his. It wasn't until the song was over and he opened his eyes that he realized he wasn't alone anymore. He jumped slightly and gasped, placing his hand over his heart at the sight of the boy.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you." He spoke, his voice low and like velvet, much unlike Louis' high, slightly raspy voice. He recognized the boy, but he couldn't connect a name to his face. He'd seen him hanging out with Harry Styles, the headmaster's son, but he couldn't for the life of him remember his name. He was in one of his English classes though, sat a couple of seats in front of him.
