Nature's Judgement

Blaire POV
Pete did seem trusting enough, Dylan and Pete went back into the house and Dylan told me in sign language
Dylan: If he does anything funny, knock him out
I nodded and we walked back into the house, the rest of the group was awake,”What happened? Amber’s injured and who is that guy strapped to the chair?” Tawnin asked and Pete pointed,”That’s James, hold on” He went to grab a pitcher of water and dumped it on James, he screamed,”Calm down drama queen” He looked around and saw us,”Who the hell are you guys?”
“Jesus Dylan, when you knocked him out, did he also lose his memory?” Jennifer asked as Pete sat down in front of him,”Did you kill one of their men?”
“Describe, maybe I have, maybe I didn’t”
“Daryl had blonde hair, he had blue eyes, did you or did you not kill him tonight?” James shook his head,”Something else killed him, but it wasn’t me”
“How many walkers did you attract to assassinate all of us?” Patrick asked James, he groaned possibly from the headache,“Maybe one or two, they shouldn’t bother you, Pete?”
“Yeah?”
“You told me to assassinate them, why are you here?”
“They figured it out and they aren’t here to harm us” He nodded slowly,”Sorry…”He passed out again, Dylan checked his pulse,”He’s still alive, he’s just passed out, is there anyone else at your place?”
“It was only 4 of us, it’s 3 now, there’s Skylar over there, I can go get her, it’s not safe for her to stay there for the night anyway” He grabbed his weapon and before he walked out of the door,”And don’t try to kill him”
“I’ll take that off my to-do list” Sam sighed and Pete looked at me,”Don’t worry, I’ll keep an eye on them” He nodded,”I’ll be back in a half hour”

5 minutes later, I was standing out the window and closed the curtain,”Blaire, I’m gonna be in the bedroom” Sam said to me,”Okay, anyone who wants to go to sleep now, they can, we’re not forcing you to stay up with us” Dylan chose to stay up with me, Amber went to get something cold to put on her face then went upstairs, I sat on the couch and Dylan sat next to me, I sighed,”I just wanted to sleep tonight”
“You’ll get it soon, after our discussion with Pete and Skylar” I groaned lightly,”Hey you can sleep and I can wake you up when they come back” I shook my head and rubbed my eyes,”No, I’ll be okay, just need something to keep me up for a little bit” I got up and stretched my arms, legs and just ended up getting water to splash on my face, I saw Dylan leaning on the counter,”What?”
“N-nothing, just admiring a beautilful view” I sighed,”Dark circles, bloody clothes and stench like death is your definition of beautiful?” He got close to me,”No I think you are beautiful no matter what...the way you look out for this group, how you protect yourself out here” He looked into my eyes,”Your leadership is amazing, your protectiveness is beautiful, everything about you….is”
“I’m not the only one you know?” He started kissing my neck,”And who would that be?” He lifted me up on the counter and took off my jacket,”Your strength, your combat, just everything about you is what makes me fall in love with you every single day...just…”I started moaning lightly,”Yeah?” He asked me and pulled me closer to him,”Everything about you is….” I gripped onto his shirt and started to-,”Hello?” We instantly stopped, I put my jacket on the chair and I splashed more water on me and I walked back in there,”Is this Skylar?”
“Hi, you must be Blaire” Dylan came out of the bathroom,”Hey, Skylar right?” She nodded and we shook hands as she looked at James,”I see that you guys are very welcoming”
“Well better than waking up in a cell paralyzed” I said to her and she made a half smile,”That sounds very...civilized”
“Oh yeah totally” I said to them and we sat down,”So is James okay?” Dylan nodded,”Yeah he’s just passed out, he answered a few questions and went back to sleep”
“Is that blood?” She went over to him,”What did you guys to him?” Dylan defended our group,”Your guy was about to kill one of our women, one of our guys just knocked him out” Skylar took a deep breath and said shit under her breath,”It was under Pete’s order, I guess it was self defense, sometimes James takes his orders too seriously, it’s also how we lost the rest of our group”
“It wasn’t just James you know” Pete said to her and she closed her eyes, I could tell she was trying not to get mad at him,”I know, I know…” He stood next to the window,”But James was the one that knew all along, we didn’t listen to him”
“Anyways, Blaire and Dylan right?” Dylan and I nodded,”Yeah, Blaire and Dylan”
“So are you guys like, leaders or something?” We answered her question again,”Yeah we’re leaders I guess”
“You guess or you know? It’s one or the other” I said firmly,”Yes, we’re leaders of our group and since your guy here terrorized us and almost killed us, Pete apologized and you haven’t been here in this cabin for what? 5 minutes and you were giving your boss here attitude and you’re doing the same thing to us. Just know that your behavior is what’s gonna get you in a rut some day and I guarantee Pete isn’t gonna help you, so I suggest you tone it down” I walked up to her and she had a stuttering breath,”You got that?”
“Yes” She said softly,”I can’t hear you Skylar”
“Yes” She enuniciated and said it louder,”Good, now I suggest we go back to being civil here” Skylar got up and said she needed to get water, Pete walked up to me,”Thanks, I’ve been wanting to tell her that for months”
“She’s only a teenager, she has to learn that kind of behavior is critical in a world like this now” He looked over at the door,”That’s what I’ve been trying to tell her, I think it’s this place that’s what’s driving her to being like this. Before we came here, she was pretty mellow, more….you know, happy”
“I can understand that”
