"You do know that Mina will kill me if she finds out that i'm helping you with this." Jennie huffed as she applied yet another layer of her lip gloss on to her plump lips, smacking them together once she was done. Her dark glossy hair shone brightly in the early morning sun and she was certainly a beautiful girl but her attitude was everything but.
"Well she's not going to find out so everything is fine. All you're doing is answering my questions anyways, no harm done." Taehyung sneered while leaning back tiredly and crossing his arms over his chest.
He had invited Jennie to get coffee so that he could get any information about the friendship that Yoongi and Mina had. As far as Taehyung had known, Yoongi hadn't even existed before he left so why did he all of a sudden just pop up?
"I guess so but still, what do I get out of this?" Jennie asked while glaring at Taehyung, making it very clear that she hated him for what he did to Mina. Taehyung was glad that Mina was friends with such brutally honest people as they would give her advice that was straight to the point.
"Well, what do you want? No I won't sleep with you so don't even ask." Taehyung scoffed, watching as Jennie rolled her eyes and sneered at Taehyung. It was no secret that Jennie was sophisticated and above any of that stuff.
"As if i'd ever drop to your league, i'm not Mina. Do my English Literature assignments for the next semester and I'll tell you anything you want, literally anything." Jennie bargained, proud of herself for coming up with something so beneficial to her.
Taehyung groaned inwardly, closing his eyes for a second while taking deep breaths. Even though it was one of his strongest subjects, Taehyung hated English Literature with every bone in his body. The boring dialect and crazy plots just drove him insane and it didn't seem very appealing for him to have to write two essays each time they were set but it was worth it.
For Mina.
"Fine, deal. Who the hell is Yoongi?" Taehyung asked quickly, eager to squeeze every drop of knowledge that he needed from the bratty drama queen sat across from him.
As if she had known that it would be the first question he asked, Jennie rolled her eyes and began to inspect her expensive manicured nails in boredom. She had been hoping for a more intense question, one that she could cause mayhem with.
"Boring question but okay. Yoongi is a guy that Mina bumped into like 2 weeks after the two of you broke up. She literally walked straight into him and then gawped up at him like a fish but I mean who wouldn't, have you seen his..." Jennie began before Taehyung cut her off, growling softly in irritation.
"Jennie, sweet sweet Jennie. I couldn't care less about Yoongi's face or any part of his body for that matter. All I care about is how he knows Mina and what they are together so... are they dating?" Taehyung rushed quickly, now leaning forward so that his elbows were resting on the table.
Tutting in distaste, one or Jennie's long manicured fingernails pushed both of Taehyung's elbows off of the table while mumbling about him being raised in a barn.
"Didn't you listen to a word I said? They met two weeks after you left so that was only like 3 or 4 days ago! If you really think Mina would be dating a guy after only knowing him for that long then you're more stupid that you're already known to be." Jennie mocked sassily while sipping her coffee, her dark brown eyes exploring the cafe to see who was sat around her.
The cafe wasn't very lively as it was 9am on a Sunday morning, most of the college kids still being in bed after a night of heavy partying. All that occupied the red vintage seats were a small group of preppy looking girls that seemed to be talking English, all squealing about some pop band that they were obsessed with.
Happy with her answer, Taehyung smirked to himself and pictured Mina sat next to him while crunching on her favourite oatmeal cookies that the cafe provided with each coffee. Taehyung had never understood why he loved those cookies so much, always thinking that they tasted like cardboard himself, but now he wished to see her small teeth nibbling on one once more.
"Is that all? I have a hair appointment at 10 so I must leave soon." Jennie quipped sharply, snapping Taehyung out of his happy little day dream and bribing him back into the reality in which another guy was trying to steal Mina away from him.
As if Taehyung would ever let that happen.
"Yeah sure, send me your assignments and i'll get them back to you as soon as I can. It was pleasure doing business with you Miss Kang." Taehyung smirked as he shook Jennie's hand, hissing slightly when she dug her fingernails into his palm.
"You hurt Mina once more and i'll make sure that your life is ruined. You'll never get a degree, fail to get a job and everything will fall apart. I'm a powerful woman Mr Kim, don't underestimate me." Jennie hissed before walked out of the cafe, leaving behind enough money to pay for the bill and leave a wage's worth of tips.
Taehyung shook his head and chuckled at how mean Jennie was, remembering the times as children when she was such a shy little flower. Being the daughter of a successful business empire king really changed her.
