The sunset behind her as Mina walked to the park in which her and Taehyung had first met, nothing but optimism racing through her veins along with the adrenaline. She had never felt so ready to do something before, certain that what she was about to do was the right choice and that she wouldn't regret it in the future.

Mina was placing her trust and love in Taehyung, hoping that he would cherish it instead of throwing it away as he had done the first time.

Small pink flowers were falling from the trees, covering the grass and anything else in a thin layer of pink. Cherry Blossom season had always been an important and emotional time for Mina  as it reminded her of her late grandma who had loved seeing the tree in her back garden begun to sprout its small flowers.

Mina reminisced on these memories as she waited, completely unaware of Taehyung who was running across the paths to get to her as quickly as possible. All his hopes had fuelled his determination and it had paid off.

"Mina!" Taehyung called when he saw Mina sat under the largest blossom tree, her dark hair flowing in the direction that the wind was taking it, along with the fallen blossom flowers. The sight was so ethereal that Taehyung had to take a second to breathe and appreciate it, wanting this image to be etched into his mind forever.

A soft smile stretched over Mina's plump lips, her hand softly patting the space next to her, gesturing for Taehyung to take a seat. Hesitantly, Taehyung slowly stepped over to the tree and slowly sat down next to her. Mina didn't even flinch or turn her head to face him, simply looking over the scenery that was portrayed before her. Never before in her entire life had she felt so free, able to breathe without a constant weight squashing against her frail heart

Everything was going to be ok

"You're probably wondering why I asked you to meet me here." Mina voiced, still watching the blossom fall from the tree and to to ground. Taehyung was slightly startled by the sudden volume of her voice but quickly gathered himself together, licking his lips to moisten them.

"Kind of but I think I know too. I respect any decision that you've made, you know that right?" Taehyung said while his fingers tucked a piece of hair behind Mina's ear, smiling softly when a discreet blush spread out across her pale cheeks. Surely, Mina nodded and finally turned to look at Taehyung, eyes searching his face as if looking to see if she'd made the right choice.

"You've done some terrible things to me Taehyung, you really have. The lies and dishonesty have ripped me to pieces and left me in a small pile of nothing. Loving you has taught me to be guarded and not show how I really feel. That makes me want to resent you," Mina began, eyes slowly filling up with tears as her emotions had gotten the best of her. Taehyung's heart dropped to his feet as she said this, already assuming that she was going to reject him.

Before she began to speak again

"but I can't help but feel butterflies in my chest whenever I am near you. When i'm without you I feel as if my life has no specific purpose, just living everyday until I have none left. I refuse to waste time you running from you anymore. This time around I must have your loyalty and honesty Taehyung because I don't think I can survive what you put me through all over again."

Taehyung threw himself into Mina, wrapping his arms around her small figure and squeezing her tightly to his broad chest. An awkward squawk sound came from Mina as she hadn't expected the sudden lunge of affection. All her attempts to keep the meeting sophisticated and emotional were thrown out of the window when Taehyung giggled softly and buried his face deeper into her neck

Where he belonged

"I promise you, on anything, that I will be better for you. There are things that i've done that im not exactly proud of but all I can do is hope that you'll accept me for the man that I am, baggage attached. I need you Mina, only you." Taehyung whispered into Mina's hair whilst his large hand softly stroked her back affectionately.

The stars had aligned, everything going just as it should be for the young couple. Unaware of the hurt their relationship would cause, they slowly intertwined their hands together and walked back to Mina's dorm room. Nothing else mattered to them in that moment of time and it was blissful for the pair, to only be concerned with each other and what was going on in their lives only

All they needed was each other.
