Wanda was furious, she would like to destroy anything, but the vision of buy-back of the equipment didn't smile at her.

They didn't find anything yet. How is that possible? Could Jeffrey and David Hildreth fall under the ground? And with them all the evidence?

She left the Avengers' base and sat down hard on the bench. It was all so frustrating!

It has been six months since her visit to Surgut. From that moment, SHIELD took up the search for the Hildreth and, surprisingly, they could not find anything. When they arrived, no one was there, most of the evidence of their business was lost, and the few that remained, only allowed further investigation of the case, but no put charges.

"How are you holding on?" she heard a familiar voice.

She looked at Sam. Ever since he became the second Captain America, he tried his best to keep professionalism and to take care of all members of the Avengers.

She didn't answer him, just looked ahead again and sighed.

"By sending you to Surgut, I didn't think you would take this matter so personally" the man continued, sitting down next to her.

"Sam" she said quietly "they had a morgue there, at least twenty-five bodies of dead children, women and old people... "

"I know, you've told me that."

"How could I not take it personally, since I am the result of such experiments? The difference is that I was a volunteer, they had no choice..."

The dark-skinned man sighed, he wanted to help the girl somehow, but he had no idea how.

"The problem is" he mumbled helplessly "that all the tropes are breaking off, I don't blame you for trying to save the prisoners, but your attack on the base completely frightened them."

Wanda sighed again with frustration. This time she was mad at herself. Sam was right - if she would listen to him and call for support before she decided to do everything by herself, they wouldn't have escaped from there.

"No bank payments" Sam continued "no witnesses who could see them... We have nothing, no information."

Suddenly, a plan appeared in Maximoff's mind. It was practically impossible, but she had to try it.

"The soldier I fought with" she said suddenly full of life "he can know something."

"We don't even know what is his name" Sam stopped it "we can't trace him just like that."

"I'll take care of it"

The man sighed.

"Wanda, SHIELD has removed you from this case..."

But it was too late, no one would stop her now.

"Nobody needs to know" she said, getting up from the bench "you'll tell them that I took a vacation or something."

"You don't even know where he is and, above all, if he cooperate with the Hildreths."

She didn't think about Sam's words, she was not going to withdraw now. She knew she could do it, she felt it would work.

"I will find him" she said firmly "I will find him and if necessary I will force him to cooperate."

Sam rubbed his eyes, as if he was extremely tired.

"Last time he almost defeated you" he whispered.

"But now I am prepared."

There was silence. The sun warmed the back of the girl who did not take her eyes off her friend. She knew she would do it no matter if she got permission or not. She was quite confident on this topic, if anyone would find him, she was the only one.
