Percy pushed the door open and felt a wave of relief surge through him. Nico was sitting up in the bed. The dog rested on his chest, his blanket wrapped around his forearm, and Looking for Alaska open in his hands. He looked up, smiled at Percy and Jason and Leo, then looked back down at his book. Percy ran over and practically fell on him, hugging him tightly. "Dude, I'm trying to sleep." Nico said, trying to look over Percy. Percy let out a shaky breath and pulled back, smiling at Nico. He cupped his cheek and ran a thumb over his cheekbone. "God, I'm so glad you're okay." "What do you mean? And why am I in a hospital?" Nico asked, laying the book across his lap and folding his hands over it, then looking up at Jason patiently. "You got hit by a car. You-you've been out for two(?) days." Jason said, a questioning tone coating his voice. "Have I?" Nico asked, mostly to himself, then shrugged and started to lift his book up again. "Leo!" He squeaked happily when he saw the boys messy hair. Leo ran iver and kissed him on the cheek. "Hey." he said and Nico smiled, his eyes glassy. "I thought you left..." "I did... I mean, I'm leaving in a day or two... I just had to nake sure you were okay." Nico looked down sadly. "Oh... Fine. Well, it was nice to see you all, but I'm really exhausted and I'm going to take a nap." He turned onto his side, his back against the boys. Leo sighed, shaking his head. "I have to go... Tell him I'm sorry I couldn't stay longer." Leo said and Percy nodded, still staring at Nico. "Yeah, I will...." He sighed and walked over to the bed, resting a hand on Nico's shoulder. He bent down and pressed a kiss to his temple, then sat down and waited for Nico to wake up.
Nico woke up a few hours later. He stretched, then rolled over and stared at Percy. "Hi." He said and Percy waved. "Hey. So uh... Like... The doctors need to like... Give you a checkup or something..." Percy stuttered and Nico scowled. "Why?" He spat and Percy furrowed his eyebrows. "They need to see if you'll be okay. Don't worry though, I'll be in here and Jason will be and we won't let anyone hurt you." Nico sighed, shut his eyes, then fell back onto the bed. "Fine." "Okay uh..." Percy pressed the red button and smiled at Nico. "So... Why don't you like the doctors?" Percy asked and Nico shrugged. "I... They like... I've haf bad experiences with them..." Percy laughed. "Yeah, me too." Nico gave him a questioning look, but snapped his eyes away when the door opened. "Hey. Is he ready?" Jason asked and Percy looked at Nico. Nico sighed and swung his legs over the side of the bed. His hands flew to his back, trying to tie the string. "Here. Let me." Percy grabbed Nico's waist and pulled him toward him. Nico looked down at the floor quickly, his face flushing. Percy smiled and tied it shut, then squeezed Nico's shoulder. "Hey, you'll be fine." Nico nodded and smiled weakly, then followed Jason out of the room, Percy walking right behind Nico, keeping a hand on his shoulder.
"Sit down on here, please." Jason said and pat the hostpital bed. Nico shuffled over to the bed and sat down slowly, keeping his eyes on Jason warily. Jason smiled, calming Nico's nerves a little. "You'll need to take your gown-" "No!" Nico yelled, then looked down. "I... I can't... I just..." Jason sighed, then shook his head. "If it'll make you feel better, I can go get some underwear for you or-" Nico shook his head, his eyes were glassy though. "I-It's fine..." Percy sighed and put a hand on Nico's back. "Nico... Are you sure?" "I-" Nico's voice cracked and he shook his head, a tear rolling down his cheek. "No. No no no..." He kept mumbling over and over. Percy wrapped his arms around Nico and kissed his head. "It's fine. Hey, it's fine. Right, Jason?" Jason nodded. "Yeah, of course." Nico let out a shaky breath and nodded. Jason smiled and left the room to go get Nico underwear. "You're okay, right?" Percy asked and Nico nodded. "Yeah, I just... Nevermind." He said, shaking his hrad. Jason came back in with an armful or underwear. "I uh... Didn't know whoch type you wanted so..." Nico forced a smile and pulled a pair out, then pulled them on quickly. He turned his back to Percy and Percy carefully untied it. Nico let it fall of his arms and drop to the ground, dropping his gaze to the floor. Jason smiled and motioned to the bed. nico sat down, rubbing his arm akwardly and trying to cover his chest as subtly as possible. Jason came back over with some stuff that Nico apparently recognized. Percy could tell by the way Nico freaked out. "No! No, no please don't. Please..." He whimpered and Percy squeezed his shoulder. "It's okay. He isn't... He isn't going to hurt you. Right? This won't hurt him, will it?" Percy asked, his voice dripping with protection. "No. It will feel slightly uncomfortable, but it shouldn't hurt him." Nico burried his face in Percy's shoulder. Jason made him lay down, then rubbed a cold gel over his stomach. "This will let me-" "I know what it does..." Nico muttered and Percy and Jason frowned. "O-okay..." Jason said and then brought a wand up to his stomach. As soon as he did, there was a picture on the machine by the bed. "Woah... Is that... Is that inside him?" Jason nodded. "Yep. That's his stomach, that's his kidney, that's his..." Jason faded off, his finger that was pointing dropping. "Yes?" Jason looked at Nico quizzically, chewing his cheek when he saw Nico looking away, bored looking mostly, but a little scared. "Nico? Did you-" "Know about that? Did I know that I'm a freak? Yeah, of course I knew..." Jason nodded and looked over at Percy. "Um... That's a uh... Vagina." Percy stared at it, them smiled slightly. "That's uh... Cool?" Nico looked up. "What? You mean... You don't think it's wierd?" "No. Well... It's a bit strange, I mean, that doesn't happen in real life. But you aren't like a freak." Nico face lit up. "Really?" Percy nodded, then leaned down and kissed Nico. "Are we done?" "No." Nico answered, then sighed and pulled off his breifs. Jason blinked at him and Nico rolled his eyes. "Just get on with it..." He muttered, looking away akwardly as he spread his legs. Jason smiled and grabbed another wand. "Okay so... I'm assuming you already know what this does." Nico nodded, then waited while Jason spread some lube on it. He smiled apologetically at Nico and pushed the wand into him slowly. Nico grabbed Percy's hand and Percy saueezed it. Nico shut his eyes and took a deep breath. "So..." "Amazing... It's still functioning and it's healthy..." Jason smiled, then shook his head nad pulled the wand out. He handed Nico his gown back and Nico slid off the bed, pulling it on slowly. "Percy." Jason said and Percy looked at him, his breath hitching. Jason smiled and wrapped the long peice of ribbon around Percy's wrist. Percy stopped breathing, his heart racing widly. "Percy- oh my god, I'm sorry." Jason pulled it off quickly, then threw it onto ground and stomped on it. Jason hugged Percy and sighed. "God, I'm so sorry." Percy shook his head. "Fine. It's fine. We're just gonna go back to the room and like..." Percy mumbled and and grabbed Nico, pulling him down the hall and into his room.
Percy sat on the corner of the bed, sighing as he played with Nico's hand. "So... What happened between you and Jason?" Nico asked and Percy froze. "We uh... I guess there's no way out of this?" "Nope." Nico said and sat up. "Tell me." "Alright, just let me get us situated." Percy pushed Nico off the bed gently, then half layed half sat at the top of the bed. Nico layed down, his head resting in Percy's lap. "So... It happened three months ago..."
