Nico stared at the sonogram, lifting his head up slowly. He blinked at Percy. "I... What?" Percy felt his chest swell with nervousness. "You... You're pregnant with our child." Even to him, the words brought on a fresh wave of panic. "But... I never ate a baby." Percy stared at him, wanting to crawl into his shirt. Of course he didn't know how babies were made. "I... I'll be in my room. Just... If you want to talk about it..." Percy muttered and dashed out of the room. He collapsed onto the bed.
Nico stared into space, confused. Why was Percy so scared and panicked? He thought, chewing his lip. He sighed and pushed himself up, shuffling to the room. He pushed the door open and frowned when he saw Percy with his face burried in a pillow. He crawled onto the bed and put his hand on Percy's shoulder. Percy looked up, then sighed. He sat up and curled his legs under him. Nico smiled at him and layed down in his lap. Percy played with his hair, smiling at the low pur vibrating his body. "So... Where do babies come from?" Nico asked. Percy bit his lip. "Leo never told you?" "I never asked." Nico said, wriggling so he was closer to Percy. "Oh... Um... So like... When um...." Peecy struggled, trying to find the right words. Nico nodded, encouraging Percy. "When two people love each other- usually a girl and a boy- they um.... Do what we did." Nico nodded, rubbing Percy's feet. "Yeah..." Percy sighed. "Well like... Sometimes the guy.... Like... Sometimes the girl gets pregnant...." "How?" Nico asked and Percy sighed. "I... The guys sperm," Percy shuddered as he said the word. "You mean the white stuff?" Nico asked and Percy laughed. "Yeah, the white stuff. Anyway.... The girl has eggs.... And like, the guys sperm fertalizes it and makes a baby." Nico nodded, his eyebrows furrowed. "But... I'm not a girl..." "You have girl parts." Percy said and Nico nodded. "Right." They sat in a comfortable silence for a few minutes. "I'm having a baby." Nico said and smiled. "We're having a baby." Percy corrected and Nico smiled at him. "Yeah. Our baby." Percy leaned down and kissed him, then sighed. "Do you want to tell Leo?" "Um... Do I have to?" Nico asked and Percy sighed. "He's coming over tonight. In a few hours actually." Nico blinked slowly. "I guess..." He yawned and rolled over. "Tired?" Percy asked and Nico nodded. "Go to bed then." Nico nodded, falling asleep a few seconds after. Percy moved around, adjusting them so they were both under the blankets, spooning. Percy kissed Nico's head and shut his eyes, falling asleep to the beat of Nico's heart.
