Chapter 9: Threat

Erin's POV
After orientation we both found out what class we would be in, we also found out that we were going to be in the same class. "Cool, we are in the same class" I said with a smile on my face, "at least we won't be alone." "Y-yeah" he stuttered while his face went red. As we were walking to our classroom, we talked about the fact that the pro hero Deku would be teaching at UA this year. As we walked into the classroom together, the room went quiet. The other students were staring at us and they started whispering. I had this uncanny feeling that they were staring and whispering about me. I decided to just ignore it and keep smiling. At this point I'm used to all the staring and whispering. Jalen and I took two seats in the front right next to each other. "So who do you think our teacher will be?" Jalen inquired. "Not sure, but I really hope that it's Deku" I answered. Just then there was a thud on my desk. When I turned to look at who made the noise, I saw a boy that had his hand on my desk. "So I hear that you have a pretty powerful lightning quirk, well I think my quirk is stronger" he boldly said. I stood up, looked at him, and said "You really want to test that theory?"
Jalen's POV
Woah! What the heck got into her. She's like a totally different person. I like her even more now! Just wow! How is she so brave, pretty, smart, and amazing altogether?!
Unnamed boy's POV
Well, well, well, little miss fancy quirk thinks she has guts. I'll show her who's boss.
Erin's POV
"Lets go, right here right now" he said with a hint of frustration. "Absolutely, unless of course, you're too chicken to follow through" I said cheekily. "Erin, I really hope that you know what your doing" Jalen whispered to me. "Don't worry Jalen, I know exactly what I'm doing" I whispered back.
