Chapter 20: First Date pt1

Jalen's POV
The two of us walked out of the hospital, hand in hand. "So where do you want to go?" I asked. "Oh, we could go see that new hero exhibit at the museum," she said with a smile. Yup, she is definitely the girl for me. "I hear that they have a bunch of stuff about Deku" she said. "Oh we definitely have to see that!" I replied. She practically read my mind. After we got to the museum and got our tickets, we practically ran to the new hero exhibit. Right when we walked into the exhibit, there were statues of the three top pro heros. "Look, its Deku, Shoto, and Ground Zero" I said looking over at her. I noticed that she stopped in front of the pro hero Shoto's statue and I heard her say something like tunnel go, something snow, funnel ho? I'm not entirely sure what she said. "You okay?" I asked as I walked over to her. "Oh, yeah, I'm fine" she replied, "I just spaced out a bit." "Okay then" I smiled. "Let's go check out the exhibit shall we?" I asked. "We shall" she said with a huge smile. For the rest of the day, we walked around the exhibit laughing and having fun. "You know what?" she asked me. "What?" I answered. "I haven't thought about that dumb engagement all day, thanks for that" she said as she got up on her toes and kissed my cheek. I felt like an idiot in that moment because I didn't say anything, I just stood there blushing until she said, "You want to check out the gift shop?" "Like duh" I said. Will she ever stop reading my mind? When we walked out of the museum, we realized what time it was. "Do you, maybe want to go get something to eat?" I asked timidly. "Sure" she replied as we walked off hand in hand.
