Jalen's POV
I could hardly believe what had just happened. Erin kissed me! When she broke away she smiled and said, "I like you too." "So what now?" I asked. "I don't know, maybe, I-I mean only if you want to, we could start dating?" she said looking up at me. "Definitely" I said before I kissed her on the forehead. "So how long have you, you know" Erin said embarrassed. "Well, to be honest, I'm not entirely sure when I started liking you" I said as I sat down next to her. "Honestly, I don't know when I started liking you either" she said as she rested her head on my shoulder. Just then, the door started to open and Erin sat up straight as fast as she could. When the door was fully open there was a man standing in the doorway in a fancy suit. "Hello father" Erin said. Father? That's Erin's father?! "What have I said about villains Erin" he said coldly. "Never get captured, always be on the defensive, and wait for the pro heros" she said looking down. "Exactly, and you somehow you managed to break those three rules in only one afternoon" he said raising his voice a bit. "I know father, I have disappointed you" she said. "Your damn right, now let's address the elephant in the room, who the hell is this" he said as he gestured to me. "This is my friend from UA father" she said looking up at him. "Uh I-I'm Jalen sir" I said as i stood up, walked over, and stuck out my hand for him to shake. "How quaint" he said in disapproval, "Erin what have I told you about hanging around his kind." My... my kind? Just who does this bastard think he is?! "Y-yes father" she said looking back down. "Anyway, that is not why I've come here" he said with a pause, "I've come to tell you that from this day forward, you are to be engaged to a young man named Charlie." WHAT?! "Yes father" was all Erin could say.
