33. Simple Present Tense

Simple Present Tense

Simple Present Tense adalah bentuk tense yang digunakan untuk menjelaskan sesuatu yang terjadi saat ini, kebiasaan aktifitas (present) bukan yang sedang terjadi atau sedang berlangsung (continuous). Karena terjadi pada waktu sekarang/di masa kini/saat ini, maka pasti menggunakan kata kerja pertama (verb 1) dalam kalimatnya.

*Dalam setiap tense terbagi dua jenis kalimat:*
Kalimat Verbal
Kalimat Non Verbal/Nominal

*I. Kalimat  Verbal*

Kalimat verbal adalah kalimat yang menggunakan kata kerja di dalamnya. Rumus kalimat verbal positif, negative dan introgative yang digunakan adalah :

*Untuk subyek I, You, We, They, Plural Nouns, Plural Pronouns:*

*1. Affirmative Sentence*

You cook soup every sunday

S + V1 + O + adverb

*2. Negative Sentence*

You don’t cook soup every sunday

Do + S + V1 + o + adverb

*3. Introgative Sentence*

Do you cook soup every sunday?

Do/does + S + V1 + O + adverb + ?

*Using Question Word*

What do you cook today?

Qw + do/does + S + V1 + O + adverb + ?

*• Contoh lain:*
-We cook soup today
-You don’t cook soup today
-Do they cook soup today?
-The people cook soup today

* Penjelasan:*
I, we, you, they, people =  subject
Cook= verb 1
Soup= object
Today = adverb of time

*Untuk subjek He, She, It, Singular Nouns, Single Pronouns  :*

*1. Affirmative Sentence*

She cooks soup evey sunday

S + V1 + s/es +  o + adverb

*2. Negative Sentence*

She does not cook soup every sunday

S +  does not/doesn’t + V1 +  o + adverb

*3. Introgative Sentence*

Does she cook soup every sunday?

Does + S + V1 + o + adverb + ?

*Using Question Word*

what does she cook today?

QW + do/does + S + V1 + adverb + ?

*Contoh lain:*
-he cooks soup today
-it rains today
-Anna cooks soup today

*Penjelasan:*

She, he, it, Anna = subject
Cooks, rains = verb 1 + es/s
Object = soup
Adverb of time = today

*Adverb of Time for Simple Present Tense:*

Every  sunday

*NB:*

Setiap kalimat negative dan kalimat introgative V1 kembali menjadi bentuk dasarnya, tidak ditambahkan es/s lagi

*II. Kalimat Nominal*

Kalimat Nominal adalah kalimat yang menjelaskan atau mendeskripsikan kata benda, kata sifat dan keterangan.

*I. Affirmative Sentence*

1. I am here
2. You are a lazy girl
3. We are doctors
4. They are not friendly
5. She is a teacher
6. The people are weird
7. It is a spider

*S +  to be (is, am, are) + AAN*

*Penjelasan:*
I, you, we, they, people, she, It = Subject
is, am, are = to be
here = adverb of time
lazy = adjective
doctor = noun
friendly = adjective
teacher = noun
weird = adjective
spider = noun
AAN = Adjective, Adverb, Noun

*2. Negative Sentence*

1. I am not here
2. You are not a lazy girl
3. We are not doctors
4. They are not friendly
5. She is not a teacher
6. The people are not weird
7. It is not a spider

*S +  to be (is, am, are) + not + AAN*

*Penjelasan:*
I, you, we, they, people , it= Subject
is, am, are = to be
here = adverb of time
lazy = adjective
doctor = noun
friendly = adjective
teacher = noun6
weird = adjective
spider = noun
AAN = Adjective, Adverb, Noun

  *3. Introgative Sentence*

1. Are you there?
2. Are you a lazy gir?
3. Are we doctors?
4. Are  they not friendly?
5. Are the people weird?
6. Is she a teacher?
7. Is it a spider?

*S +  to be (is, am, are) + AAN*

*Penjelasan:*
you, we, they, people, she = Subject
am, are = to be
here = adverb of time
lazy = adjective
doctor = noun
friendly = adjective
teacher = noun
weird = adjective
AAN = Adjective, Adverb, Noun

*Using Question Word*

1. what is this?
2. What's wrong?
3. Where are you now?
4. Who is she?
5. How is the pacient?

*QW + S +  to be (is, am, are) + AAN*

*Kesalahan dalam Simple Present Tense:*

2. Everyday (adjective)
    Every day (adverb)

I learn english every day  ✔️

I learn english everyday  ❌

2. Have dan Has

She has a cat ✔️

She have a cat  ❌

They have many cats  ✔️

She has no cats ❌

She has no cat ✔️
