Yes, he did become the prodigy. And not only he was blessed with talent, he was blessed with looks.
When he was two, he could make a tree fall. When he was three, he accidentally beat up a friend. And so on.
Two years later after he was born, there was another baby in the village. The psychic foretold she'd be a prodigy too.
Well nope, she burned down a forest when she was three. And she balded her mother temporarily at age four.
Then both of their parents, who were skilled magicians, disappeared.
When the girl was 10 and the boy was 12, the town was attacked by demons. The boy and the girl were rescued, yet they were rescued SEPARATELY.
Their minds were tainted by the heat of war; they planted the thought in their mind that they were the last of their kind.
However, when they get there, that will easily change.
