He parked the carriage beside a small barn, no signs of life he could detect there. It was dead silent. Full of regret, Lancelot checked the back. He looked aside as his lover sat there, giving him a 'please screw off' look then returning to heal the female leonin's wounds.
"Cover your ears, kids." Odette instructed them before hopping off the carriage.
"Princess, I'm sorry-"
"Tch. Sorry isn't enough for your negligience. You let a child jump out a window, you fool."
"At least they're still alive...."
"......."
"Tell me why I should still love you." the swan muttered, as strong as she was trying to be, she had a soft spot for him and began to break into tears. She fled and ran out their temporary safety, the barn.
Lancelot reached for her, but held his hand back.
Meanwhile...
"Is Operation:Execution complete?"
"Yes, your highness! We also captured some slaves, hehe!" Selena cackled joyfully.
"Excellent. Conduct Operation:Hypnos tomorrow first thing in the morning."
"Why tomorrow?"
"To make sure there's no survivors. It's a one time spell."
"And."
"I'll kill you if there are any survivors."
"O-Okay! We'll make sure nobody lives." The ruler's henchwoman stuttered in fear.
Selena ran to the Abyss barracks, as Alice sipped her red wine, a hateful smile forming on her face.
