"Welcome to your new home, Nana." Miya smiled, twisting the silver doorknob to reveal a small yet practical apartment.
"Oh... It's better than anything that I've had in my life! Thank you!" the little cat elf beamed.
Little did they know who their neighbors were.
Alucard, whose room was across Miya's took a short glance at the pair, and focused back to his new apprentice.
"You'll live here as of now." the demon hunter said, opening the door for the little cat to walk in.
"Thank you." he replied.
"Anyways, do you like cookies?"
"I do like cookies."
"I'll bake some then. Go see your new room, it's the one with white wallpaper." Alucard said while tying his apron from the back.
A few minutes later, the cookies were out of the oven, toasty and hot.
Alucard took a plastic box from the counter and filled it with cookies. Then he slapped a lace ribbon on it, and slid a piece of paper on the front. 'To Miya, from Alucard' it read.
"Harith, please take this to the neighbors."
"What is this anyway?"
"Err... A welcome gift."
"Okay then, then can I have my cookies?"
"'Course."

*Knock, knock*
"Yes, who's that?" a small voice called, and opened the door. "Nana, I'll open the door." she was interrupted by an older lady's voice.
The door reveals a silver-haired marksman, tall and mature-looking.
"Hi there, this is from Alucard."
"Really now? Anyway, thanks." Miya said as she shut the door.
Well, before she shut the door, Nana got a good look at the mysterious person's face.
"Who's that?"
"Your colleague. And here, just take these cookies." she replied and gave her the box, but not without taking her own cookie.
"Th-Thank you very much!" Nana grinned as she recieved the cookies.
As Miya went to her room to read, Nana took a whiff of the box.
The smell was oddly familiar, like home.
After pondering on the smell, she eventually ate them.
"Mmmm... Not bad!"
Then Miya came to her room and told her a bedtime story.
"The story goes like this...."
