11♡Escapade

It must be, or I'm crazy.

"I......"

"How?!"

"How didn't I recognize you?"

"Um... My parents always kept me in to learn magic, that is until my grandpa took me in."

"I-I see.... So...."

"We're the last two Leonins now?"

"I remember everything... My friends, my home, it's all gone."

"There's only so much we can do.. We can't bring them back."

"Yeah.... But I just wanna cry."

"Poor children....... I hope you find the people who take care of you."

"Well they disappeared."

"Oh my, so it doesn't seem safe here. I have a plan."

"What plan?"

"We'll go to my kingdom."

Odette helped the two kids get in the carriage, and she hopped up in the front.

"Hiyah! Go forth my milky white steeds."

The winds blew and the atmosphere got darker as they rode to the distant kingdom. The wind upped its speed, but Odette held her ground. After all, she ruled with an iron fist, staff in hand.

"I'm feeling cold.." Nana whispered.

"Here, take my scarf, it's not much." Harith said concerned.

"But then you'll be cold."

"It's fine, don't think about me. We're the last of us after all."

"We're the last of us... That means we have to stick together."

The little leonin buried her head into the other's chest, I guess you could say it was a hug. It kept both of them warm, in the midst of what seemed to be the apocalypse.

They finally reached their destination, and the sky got darker. Odette peered in the back to check the kids, they were safe and sound, snoring peacefully in eachother's arms. The princess' knight knew of her arrival, so he went down the castle to greet her.

"My dear Lancelot...."

"Princess Odette! You're finally back."

They shared a 'welcome back' hug, the type you'd see in a movie credit scene.

"Who are those kids?"

"My children, or I think of them as my children." Odette giggled.

"I see. We should take them in, for they don't look well."

"They've gone through a lot. And.... I want to help them."
