It all started when I was in college. All my friends had boyfriends, or they were getting married and having kids, I was the only one just focusing on my classes and trying to graduate. I noticed how lonely I was and remembered the legend my mom told me and looked down at my wrist. I sighed, and that's when I first realized mom was right. I told myself that I would graduate and go searching for him. I graduated a year later; I was excited to find my husband and start my life. I bought a plane ticket and flew to Russia first. I went to every small town and asked people if they knew of the legend. They didn't understand me, but I showed them my birthmark and they eventually understood. Usually they took me to people that had similar shapes like circles, squares, stars, diamonds but none of them matched mine. I then flew to India. I got there and it was the same thing no hearts just rhombuses, triangles, and hexagons. I travelled to a lot of countries during that year. I began to have doubts. What if I waited too long to start looking? What if he's already married? What if I don't have a soulmate? What if, what if, what if, all the worries and doubts were colliding in my head and started to make a pounding headache. I got on a plane to fly home and quit searching. I got in my seat and put in my headphones trying not to focus on my headache.
When I woke up it was silent, I took out my headphones and looked around me. Everyone was sleeping, I tried to stand up when a violent shake went through the plane. Mostly everyone woke up and looked around them. Then the intercom came on "We lost an engine don't worry its nothing major, we still have one more engine." said what I assume was the pilot. As the intercom went off another violent shake went through the plane. That's when I heard the flight attendants say "Brace, Brace, Brace! Head down stay down" They said that over and over I did what they said and that's when the plane crashed into the ocean.
