Chapter 29

Jade's POV

After the fight everyone went to the Whyte Wyrm to celebrate the win. I didnt want to go, but Cheryl was in charge of the party and she made me go. I sat by myself just thinking about what to do next. After all I came to save my sister and I left because of my brother. I just feel so different after everything that has happened. Should I stay or should I leave?

"Attention everyone. Jughead has something to say." Betty says.

Everyone turned to Jughead as he stood on the stage with Betty.

"Well everyone. I have a few things to say. One Jellybean was brought home safe and sound. Two my mother and her Serpents have now join us. Lastly we wont have to worry about the Ghoulies again." Jughead says.

Everyone cheered on what he said and I felt out of place. I got up hoping to sneak out and get away, but someone pulled me into the back room.

"What the." I say and punch the person in the stomach.

"Ow Jade. Its me Archie." Archie says in pain.

"Oh sorry Arch. You should of known not to sneak up on me." I say.

"Im sorry. So why are you leaving now and where would you go?" He asks.

"Dont worry about me. I can take care of myself. I should just leave Im not meant to be here anymore. I feel out of place in the place that was once home. Im not even a Serpent anymore I should just go." I say.

"Jade your family is going be back together. You dont need to leave Jade." He says.

I opened the door to the room and snuck into the crowed before Archie could reach me. I was almost out when Jughead got in my way.

"Move Jughead. Im tired." I say.

"Well before you go I need you to come with me. Just a second." Jughead says.

"Why?" I ask.

"Just follow me." He says.

I followed him and he got back onto the stage and everyone was looking at him. He then lowered his hand towards me and he was holding my Serpent Jacket.

"What are you doing?" I question.

"Jade, we wouldnt have won if it wasnt for you. You saved the Serpents. You saved Jellybean. Now Im sorry I was a jerk and acting horribly. I threw my own sister out of the Serpents. All you did was want to help others and I didnt see that until I it was too late. So Jade, will you please put your Serpent Jacket back on. You have been and always will be a Serpent. Please join us again." Jughead says.

I looked over at everyone and then at my jacket. I took my jacket from him and placed it on. I was home again and this time it was even better cause I had my whole family. Though I was starting to feel something and that could be bad cause if I go soft enemies will take them away from me. So I have to go back to the way I was before. Its the only way to protect all I care for.
