Chapter 15

Jade's POV

Its now been a few weeks and it would seem that things were fine until a letter was sent to our trailer that worried us all. Although it came days ago and my dad and brother are just telling me about it now. You know after they came up with some plan.

Serpents, you think you've seen the last of me or the Ghoulies? Well you havent Revenge is coming. You dont know when and you wont know where, but its coming. All Serpents will fall especially the Jones.

"This is bad. Its all because we sent her away." Jughead says.

"You should of known better. Penny doesnt go that easy." Our dad says.

"Then we have to fight and protect our Serpent territory." I say.

"Jade, if we fight we could lose everything." Dad says.

"And if we dont we lose our lives and ourselves." I say.

"Jade, dad's right. We have to find and calm way to handle this without anyone knowing the truth." Jug says.

"So thats it we reason with them. Why? So they can double cross us and cause more trouble. If you both dont want to do this then fine. I will and they wont like what happens." I say.

I was about to leave the trailer when my dad and Jughead both quickly grabbed my arm and pulled me back.

"You'll get yourself killed. Let me handle this." Our dad says before leaving out of the trailer.

Jughead still had grip on my arm and he looked worried.

"Let go of me." I say.

"Not until you promise. Promise you will not go after the Ghoulies alone and that you will let dad and the older Serpents handle this." Jug says.

"No I wont promise that." I say.

"Jade." He says.

"I wont promise that because I know you. Your gonna rally the younger ones behind you and its gonna be another war. Do you not remember what you did last time. Its what got us into this mess." I say.

"I know which is why I have to fix this." He says.

"So Im suppose to sit here while you obviously go behind dad's back doing something different. Let me help I know what Im doing. After all I've been a Serpent longer then you." I say.

"Im sorry." He says.

He then pulled me into the small pantry and closed the door locking me in.

"Jughead! Let me out!" I yell.

"I cant. Im sorry." He says.

I tried my best to get out, but it wasnt working and then I heard a voices calling for Jughead.

"Hello?" I question.

"Jade?" Archie questions.

"Jade?" Betty asks.

"Yes now. Let me out." I say.

She opened the door and I was finally free. She looked at me wondering why and before I could respond she spoke up.

"Jug called me saying he loves me and that he always will. Then he said goodbye. We came here looking for him, but clearly its just you. Where is he?" She asks.

"And why were you in there?" Archie asks.

"Jug shoved me in. He went to face the Ghoulies alone Im guessing." I say.

Betty reached out her phone and called my dad. He told her that Jug should be at the trailer and she told him it was just me. We went over to the Whyte Wyrm and ended up going to where we were told the Ghoulies and Penny would be at. A shocking image we saw was my father holding a very beat up and also clinging to life Jughead. Oh the Ghoulies and Penny really did it now. War is coming and I wont play nicely.
