Jade's POV
I let Archie see me cry and now he is just holding me close and I just feel lost. No one has ever seen this side of me in a very long time.
"Okay you dont have to tell me whats wrong. You can take the bed I'll be on the couch." Archie says finally letting go of me.
"Okay thanks. You sure you dont have any tools?" I ask.
"No, but I know to get some." He says.
"That would been great. The faster I fix my bike the faster Im out of your hair." I say.
"You know I dont mind the company. I talk to rangers over a radio and to my dog. Thats it so stay as long as you'd like." He says.
Days later we some tools and I began to work on my bike. I heard the door open to the cabin and I looked up at Archie.
"Hey. Is there something you need?" I ask.
"No. Im just heading out some groceries anything in particular you want?" He asks.
"No. Anythings fine." I say.
He left and I continued to work on my bike. After awhile I stopped and then I started to continue making a new bow and arrows. I then heard footsteps and I moved my new bow and aimed it at the sound.
"God Jade. I didnt know you made a bow and some arrows." Archie says.
"Well I did and Im sorry. I didnt mean to frighten you." I say.
"Its fine. Im glad to see your feeling better." He says and walked into the cabin.
I put the bow down and went in after him and when he turned around he just looked at me.
"You said you would drop it." I say.
"I know. I just said your feeling better. You had that break down and Im happy its pasted." He says.
"Oh so my break down was like a problem for you?" I question.
"No. Im just saying its nice that its over cause you dont deserve to feel that way." He says.
I looked at him and I knew he was just trying to make me feel okay that the darkness had pasted. I shouldnt of snapped at him.
"Okay. Look your the first person in a very long time to see my soft side and I guess its just alittle hard to deal with. I dont like looking weak and you saw it and now I guess in away I think you'll use that against me." I say and sat down on the bed.
"Jade, you know me. Im not gonna use this against you. People have bad days and people break down. I know thats not something you do, but I promise you I wont use it against you. I also will not tell anyone. I promise you that." He says.
I looked at him and I knew he right. He isnt someone who would turn on me. Out of everyone I know he is the only person who I think actually is my friend.
