I went towards the rooms trying to find my old one. My brain was just a bit foggy, I felt like I was drunk. I turned the corner and opened a room. It was empty. I opened another room, but yet again, it was empty. I turned to the left side of the hallway and opened the closest door. I was taken aback from what I saw.
It was full of boxes of some kind of machinery. It was so messy.
I took a few steps into the room. I didn't recognize this kind of tech. And I spent all my life studying tech.
I started to look through one of the boxes place randomly in the room. This definitely wasn't Altean tech. I opened a fold able computer thing and started to type on it. I didn't recognize these symbols on the keyboard. I typed random letters and symbols and -hopefully- actual words. I gave up on the computer thing and continued to search. I found a cord attached to some kind of remote. I found the computer thingamabob again and attached the two. I went over to a shelf across the room and found some kind of chip with an image on it. I put it in the computer and the screen showed a fun looking type of computer program.
I started to move the small levers on the remote and soon enough I was having the best time of my life!
Just as I was about to beat the evil monster, the door to this room opened. I looked up for a split second and the monster killed me. "Ugh, dang it! I was so close!" I yelled in frustration gritting my teeth. "Oh, hi Pidge! How are you?"
"Hi Adrian. I'm fine. . ." He said to me awkwardly.
"Do you know who's stuff this is? It's so cool!"
"That's mine. I made it." He said triumphantly.
"That's awesome! Guess that explains why I don't recognize all the symbols and tech and . . . yeah." I said unsure of how to end my sentence.
"Really? You don't recognizes this? Well if you don't then I could teach you!"
"Really?" I said unsure if I should agree or not. I've never really had a teacher before, I just learned everything on my own. It would be a change from how I usually do things.
"Of course! I mean, only if you want to?"
"I'll take you up on that offer Pidge." And with that he sat next to me. He looked over my shoulder and his eyes widened. "You got all the way to that level? How?"
"I don't know. I just . . . guessed on what to do and did it."
"I've never been able to get past level 25 on that thing." He said putting his pointer fingers together.
"Well . . . I guess we'll be teaching each other then." I said.

I walked into the control room to see Rii meditating. I sat next to her and tapped her shoulder.
She moved an inch before saying very lightly, "Wait till I'm done. Please." You could only hear it if you were looking for it. I looked out of the window.
After a while I felt someone sit next to me. I turned my head away from the stars to look at Rii. "How are you doing?" I asked her. She laughed under her breath and shrugged.
"I'm not sure." She averted her eyes to the stars. "I don't know what to do anymore. Apophis is being used like a tool, he blocked out our connection, so I can't talk to him, I am constantly getting bruises, and, everything is so knew around here."
I sighed and looked at her. "Ya know, you should try and get to know the new paladins. I know it's only been like 2 days but, the sooner we get to know them, the more we can trust them."
"You know, in one of my past lives I had trusted someone so much, and they ended up cutting my wings off. I was planning on marrying her. She wanted me, just not in the same way I wanted her."
"Yes, but that's in the past. People are definitely gonna be different now." I tried to reassure her, but I didn't know if it would even work.
"I guess I could try. But, 10,000 years. Imagine how much Zarkon has conquered already? I can't believe it. What if . . ." She trailed off.
"Continue."
"What if all of the others are captured too?"
"What do you mean?"
"The fire, the water, the earth, the wind, the star. My Draco is captured. What about the rest of the kamenda's? (Pronounced ka-mee-en-dah) What about their pairs? What do I do?"
"I don't know Rii. I really don't know."

"Hello, Adrian." I heard from behind me.
"Hey, Allura." I responded looking at my book.
"I just wanted to say that, I'm sorry. I don't know what I did to make you feel so angered back there in the healing room but, I'm sorry."
"I wasn't angry at you Allura. I'm just-" I sighed not knowing what to say, "I feel lost. I don't know what to do, I do t know what I should say, I don't know how I'm standing in this room right now! I don't know anything. I'm stressed out."
"Well, I'm always here for you, you know? You can always come to me for help when you need it." Allura sat down on the bed across, across from me.
"Yeah, just like when we were younger. I would go to you for help for something important, and you, with all of your occupations, would ignore me and tell me to go away." I said sarcastically. "I never got the sister I wanted, but I needed to be loved." I got up and started to pace around the room. "You were the older one, so you were more important. I get that, but, it was like I was invisible to not only you, but to both our parents. My only friend during my youth was a cat. Then I got a body guard! Yaayyy" I said also sarcastic. "Now I don't hate her, but, really? I was trained in combat, I didn't need someone to look after me at all! No less someone younger than me! I felt useless." The words spilled out of my mouth before I could stop them.
"Why would I need a bodyguard?" I continued. "If anything I needed a friend."
Allura started speaking. "Well both a bodyguard and a friend cares about you."
Before she could continue speaking I cut her off. "Yeah but it's in a different way. Friends care about you by choice. A bodyguard cares for you because they can't afford to let you die! They are forced to be around you, heck, who knows if they actually care about you!"
"Adrian, even if Rii was originally bound to you was because she was appointed to be your guardian, it doesn't mean that she can't grow a stronger relationship with you. Who knows, maybe she's the sister I could never be. Maybe, she could be something more to you. Just know that, if you have any problems, you could come to any of us. You are a part of the Voltron team, and you especially should know that." With those final words, Allura left the room.
As soon as the door closed behind her, I continued to read my book, into the night, alone.
