We all get our food and sit down and eat. It isn't a lot, but it's enough to keep us alive and strong. Everyone was silent while eating and I just looked around awkwardly.

A soldier came up to us and started yelling. "Where'd ya get that extra ration?" He points at my ration.

"What'd you mean, sir? Shouldn't I be able to get one?" I ask, keeping my cool.

"You already have three rations. You know others need to eat as well." He glares at me. Although I'm not that tall, I stand up. He stares down at me before snatching the ration out of my hand.

"Sir, don't you understand that there are 4 of us? Can you not count? Clearly, one ration is only able to fill up one person, so making two people eat one is a little rude, don't you think?" I stand my ground. He pushes me back, and I fall from not expecting it.

"Puny girl," he says under his breath, smirking.

"You bastard," I say getting up and starting to run at him. Eren wrapped his arms around me, stopping me from hurting the soldier, as it is illegal. "Eren, let go!" I yell, making a scene, but I could care less.

"Sorry, sir. Take the ration. I'll share mine with her." Eren calmly states, but his eyes are filled with disgust.

The soldier glares at me before walking away. I really wanted to beat his ass, but Eren had to stop me.

"Why the hell did you do that? We had the right amount of rations and he just took one."

"Here. Have mine." He calmly says, putting his ration in my hand.

"Eren, you need to eat too. Take it. I don't need it. I can survive." I try and act full when really, I'm not.

"Y/n. Just take the damn ration. You won't survive if you don't eat." I roll my eyes.

"Eren, you can survive 3 weeks without food. You're being a little dramatic. If anything, I'll get another ration." He scoffs

Before Eren says anything, Scarf-girl butts herself into the conversation. "Then go get another ration. I'm tired of hearing you guys arguing over something irrational. If you're going to be this annoying the whole time, just leave." Eren and Armin stare at her, confused about why she's so angry.

Finally, Eren speaks up. "What's up your ass?" He looked at me and I saw Scarf-girl's eyes get angrier by the minute.

"Nothing. Eat Eren." Mikasa orders.

"Whatever...Mom." Eren replies, shaking his head.

I sigh and get up to get yet another ration. I walk around the corner and my feelings that were once hidden, unfold themselves. It hurts hearing everyone's mourns and cries for their deceased families. It makes me feels alone, more or less...lost. Why do we have to live in this world? In stories I read, the outside is a lot better than in here. In here, we're just like cattle, trapped in this place we call home. What is home anymore?

What if we were to go back in time, a time before titans were even here? Would it all end up the same or would it end up just as it is today? Would we be able to walk to those things that the outsiders call "oceans?" Why did the Titans have to screw everything up?

After being lost in thought, I check around my surroundings, seeing if I went too far. Which I did. I'll just go the long way. I'm not in desperate need of food.

I walk and all of a sudden I feel a hand on my shoulder. By reflex, I flip them over, making them land on their back in front of me. I hear a familiar groan and I curse myself.

"You know, that's not a way to treat someone after they save you," I hear Commander Erwin say. I stand there dumbfounded, staring at Petra, who was the person I flipped over.

"I'm so sorry, Ms.Ral. Or Ms. Or just Petra." I stammer, helping Petra up nervously.

"Just call me Petra." She says, smiling.

"What was the move you just used on Petra, Ms. Y/n?"

"Um, I don't know. I just taught myself I guess."

"Levi was right Commander," Petra mutters to Erwin.

"Um, may I ask you something?" I look towards Petra. She nods politely. "When you reached the boat after helping me, you told the man to make sure I got on the boat. When he tried to protest, you replied with Captain's orders. What do you mean by that?"

"Well, that's why we're here, Ms. L/n. Captain Levi, do you know who that is?" I nod and he continues. "Well, while he was checking the perimeter, he saw you and a blonde young man. He watched you fight of 3 young men, older than you and twice your size.  He saw your strength and stability. He's never said anything about someone, so I was highly interested. Seeing how you just flipped Petra, I fully understand what he meant by your strength. That's given me enough information to let you know this. Both Levi and I agreed that with some training, you may be able to join the Scouts. If you're interested, Captain Levi and Captain Hanji will train you first hand and we will see how you improve. If you meet up to our expectations, you'll be part of the Scouts."

Wait what?
