More Than I Should

Chapter 11- "The Fight"

I sit and continue to drink the water Gunther gave me. After a little bit, I feel a tap on my shoulder, making me jump. I turn around to see Captain Levi glaring daggers at me.

"What are you doing, brat? You're supposed to be training."

"I was taking a drink of water. We do have to stay hydrated, don't we?"

"I would watch your mouth, brat."

"I was just stating facts. I'm sorry," I say as I raise my hands in the air.

"Clean the stables. I don't want a speck of dust or dirt on them."

"Fine by me sir. You're not the only clean freak around here."

I then walk away and start cleaning the stables.

*Petra's POV*

Captain looks infuriated. I don't think anybody has had the nerve to talk to him like that. I know it wasn't even that bad, but for Levi? I'm surprised she's not dead.

"Captain, please calm down. She's just had a bad day."

"You know, lying won't do you any good so I insist you shut the fuck up before I sew your mouth shut." Then, I just stay quiet so I don't anger the beast. There's no use in trying to calm him down. "Petra, to my office. I need to speak with you," he says slightly calmer. (Sounds like Levi's a principal and Petra needs to go to the principal's office)

I shiver at the thought of Corporal yelling at me, but what for? Y/n? What's that have to do with me, not to be rude?

Hanji gives me a look and I nervously smile at her. I walk down the corridor and nervousness fills my stomach. I'm not even going to lie about this, but Levi scares me. He scares everyone. I step in front of his door and knock. I hear a faint "Name and Business" and I respond. He tells me to come in and I find out what he wanted to talk to me about.

*Y/n POV*

I scrub the stable of Levi's horse and she neighs with excitement.

"How are you girl?" I ask, petting her main.

She neighs again and rubs her head in my hand more. I smile at how cute she is. Levi's horse has taken a liking to me for some odd reason and I never understand why. I just started to talk to her and care for her today so I mean, what's so good about me?

I shake my head and reach for an apple that I wanted for lunch. I grab it and give it to Lucy. (I dont know what to call the horse. Lucy is just going to be the name.) She chews it loudly and thrashes around in happiness.

"What are you doing? Didn't I say that you were to clean the stables?"

I whip my head around to see the captain staring coldly at me.

"I did sir. You can check. I was just giving Lucy a snack."

"She doesn't let anyone but me feed her."

"She let's me feed her."

"Give her something then," he orders.

I reach and grab a carrot that I had brought just in case a horse wanted to eat.

"Here girl. Eat this."

I put the carrot by her mouth and not even hesitantly, she eats it with joy. I caress her main and she rubs her head into my arm like before. Levi, still emotionless, watches as this happens.

"See, I told you she would eat sir. She likes me for some odd reason."

"Tch."

"Oh and sorry for the way I acted before sir."

"You got your punishment. Now get to sleep."

"Alright sir. Goodnight."

I walk away and I can feel his eyes on me. I can't really tell if that is a good thing or not.
