All three of us walk back to our rooms, Levi leaving first. Hanji was quiet for a little and then she looked at me.

"What?" I said, looking at her.

"What happened while I was sleeping?"

"Nothing."

"You're lying," she smiles.

"I'm not."

We walked into our room and she looked at me. "Something happened when I was sleeping. I know something did."

"How do you know," I say, defensively.

"I wasn't asleep the whole time Y/n."

I look at her in shock. "Wh-what? You were asleep. What do you mean?"

"I woke up earlier but kept my eyes closed. I eavesdrop on conversations, remember?" she smiles.

"Well, you shouldn't," I snap and her smile fades. "It's rude and you know something could be personal, like Levi's backstory, yet you continue to do it." I look at the wall and then her notebook, continuing, "You don't have a problem with people eavesdropping on you because all you do is yell and scream." I look back at her face and she doesn't seem mad. Why?

"You're right. However, its come to my attention that you are getting awfully defensive," she says, wiggling her eyebrows.

"Fuck off."

"Love you too~"

I storm off into my room and lay on my bed, face first. I attempt to take off my hoodie while face first into the bed, but I was failing so I gave up. I stood up, took off my jacket, and changed my pants into leggings. I fold the jacket and set it on the dresser in the corner of my room. That is until, I noticed it was dusty and overall disgusting.

To try and calm down, despite feeling tired before, I clean my whole room spotless. No speck of dust or dirt or grime is found. I smile in satisfactory and set the jacket back on the dresser.

In the corner of my eye, I see a picture of me and my brother. He was so tall compared to me. I had to jump and hug him and he had to hold me in this picture. My feet weren't even touching the ground. I smile at the picture, comparing how much I've changed since then. I seemed so much happier. My e/c eyes were a lot brighter and my smile was so much bigger. I seemed to always have fun with him, even when we were arguing.

I grab the picture and sit on my bed with it. I remember when this picture was taken. This was 4 years ago, when I was about 12. My mother was making my favourite food, f/f, in the kitchen while my brother and I were messing around. One of his friends took the picture for him and honestly, I need to thank him....if he's still alive that is. I think he lived in the Trost district. Yeah, Jean Kirstein. He was about my age, but Takeo didn't mind. He acted a lot older than he was. Kind of.

Takeo was a year older than I was, so Jean being 2 years younger than him and a year younger than me, got a few confused questions from mom. I laugh while a tear falls. I haven't cried since that day. I promised myself I wouldn't cry. Why am I crying now?

I hear a knock on the door and I say come in, wiping my face before doing so.

"Hey, you okay now? I was letting you blow off some steam."

"Y-yeah. I'm fine."

"You sure? You're stuttering."

"Yeah. I'm sorry for lashing out earlier."

"I'm sorry for eavesdropping. Just so you know, Levi is interested in you. I promise."

"In what way?"

"You take it in a way and consider it that way."

"I mean, he did say that I did. But that was because I was able to read him."

"Yeah yeah. And I'm not crazy."

"But you are-"

"Hush hush. Never mind what I said. My theory was right."

"What theory?"

"Oh nothing~ Try and get some rest. You have training again in the morning."

"Do you know what the training is?"

"I assume to use the ODM gear. Practice on balance and control but I'm not sure."

"Oh okay."

"Well goodnight Y/n. Hope you sleep well."

She stands up but my mouth talks before my brain does.

"Hanji, can I ask you a question?"
