*Hanji's POV*
I noticed that before Y/n was getting lifted up, she looked behind me, by the entrance. I glance back and see Levi standing there. I look back at her and she smiles slightly and tells Eld that it's okay to lift her. All of us are sitting there in hope. We all want Y/n to do this. She could help Humanity. With Y/n and Levi, the Scouts could be different for the better.
After a minute, I was in shock, she was doing it. She was doing it! She did it her first try!
"You're doing it!" I yell in excitement.
Oulo actually smiled slightly. He's probably happy too. I glance back and Levi is gone. He helped her just by being there. I'm sure of it. She was stressed before she went to take the test. He had to of done something to help her calm down and focus.
"You did it your first try! Only two other people have done that!" Hanji continues while jumping around, "Eld and Levi. They both did it on their first try. That proves you could be a Scout," I say.
I'm so happy for her. Maybe she could become a Scout before her year is up.
"I did it Hanji. How?"
"Because you had some training beforehand. Remember?" She nods understanding that I'll tell her what I really think later.
"You gave her extra training? I thought-" Petra starts, but Y/n interrupts her.
"I climb a tree and practice there in my own time. Hanji had nothing to do with it. Frankly, she was asleep when I even left."
"How did you practice on a tree?" Petra asks, looking at Y/n odd.
"I was training my arms and legs by climbing the tree. At the same time, I was practicing balance while standing on each branch to figure out which one next. Also, I was practicing my cognition skills but doing math and seeing how far I could jump and so on."
"There's no way it helped you."
"Maybe it didn't. All I know is that it helped more than you did," Y/n says and leaves.
I smile and her and Petra gives me a look and opens her mouth to talk. "You're letting her talk to me like this?"
"I didn't hear anything wrong with it. What I did hear wrong is your mouth."
"Excuse me?"
"Talking bad about people behind their backs isn't okay."
"Eavesdropping on conversations isn't either."
"Who said I was eavesdropping? You are loud as hell and you said it to the whole squad. You thought you wouldn't get snapped at because Levi, me, or even Y/n weren't there. Proved you wrong huh? The reason they all defended Y/n is that you've done this far too many times. It's not cute. It's not attractive. If you think it is, you need to get your head checked. This whole squad has dealt with your shit too long. How do we know you're not doing the same to us?" I look back and Y/n and she is straight faced. I'm hurting her. I can see it. "Just, Petra, being two-faced isn't the best thing you can be. You are way better."
I walk to Y/n and we walk away. In the corner of my eye, I see her eyes become glossed up. I sigh and I take her to the spot again. That's a place that only Y/n, Levi, and I know.
*Petra's POV*
What the hell was that? I didn't even do anything to Y/n. I was just stating my opinion. And I'm not even two-faced. I'm just rudely honest.
"You guys told her, didn't you?" I look at everyone.
"No. You said it loud enough to hear in the hallway." Oulo says, sitting down on the ground.
"Where's shitty glasses and the brat?" Levi says, approaching me and the squad.
"They left," I say.
He looked at Eld and Gunther.
"Y/n passed Captain," Eld says and Gunther nods.
Am I just forgotten now?
"How many tries?" He asks, glancing at me. Does he know that I was talking about her too?
"One. She did it in her first try. She had no struggles sir."
"Good. Now, what was all the annoying ass arguing about?"
Everyone was looking at me and Levi glared at me.
"I was angry captain. I'm sorry. It's my fault."
"That's not what I asked. What was it about?" he snapped.
"I made a mistake yesterday. I said something I shouldn't have but I assure you, I have learned my lesson."
"Talking about people isn't something you have learned not to do. If you learned this time and the time before that, why do you continue to do it? Do you think I do not find out?"
"What?"
"Answer the damn question."
"I don't think before I say things."
"Our team, the whole squad, is looked up to. People look up to each one of us and if you continue to do such things, I will make sure your life is hell. Now, you have to clean the stables for the next 4 days.I want it to be spotless."
Why is Y/n being defended by everyone? It's not fair. Levi may make my life hell, but I'll make hers hell first.
"Okay sir."
*I understand that in the manga and the anime, Petra is pretty much the nicest character in Squad Levi but since this is a fanfiction, I'm changing it up a bit. She's jealous over Y/n's and Levi's relationship because she's not even that close to him and she's known him way longer. She in love with him, like the manga and show, but on a different level. I hope you guys understand what I'm going for in this book. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed this chapter.*
