Dani's P.O.V

"What do you mean she's dieing." I asked, once I came back to.

"Guys, after Lauren's last hospital visit, they said she's had issues. And those issues are too terrible to explain. She has been traumatized, and it caused her to stress over lots of things. Her head is.. well her brain cells are deteriorating. The doctors are trying to help, but they say its a 50/50 chance the operation will work. If she's declared brain dead, she's dead." Christina explained

Tears gathered in my eyes, "WHY DIDNT YOU TELL US!!" I shouted.

"Dani, calm down." Lisa said.

How am I supposed to calm down when Lauren might die?

"We still have hope, she's in an operation now. We'll find out what happens in 4 hours." Katherine said.

"In the meantime, Dani you should rest." Amy suggested.

I layed on Amy's lap while she stroked my hair. Lisa came on the other side of me and smiled. I couldnt smile right now, Im devestated. Amy's right, I should get some rest..

"Dani, wake up." a calm voice whispered. I knew it was Katherines, "The doctor is ready to tell us about Lauren."

I shot up immediately. Katherine led me to a doctor, "Lauren's operation went.. okay. It wasnt perfect, she's breathing, but she's not waking up. She is responding to the treatments, so she isnt in a coma. Her brain cells are building up, the only problem is she wont wake up."

"Can we try to wake her up?" I asked.

"You can try, but I doubt that'll work."

Wow, thanks for the assurance.

I walked up to Lauren's room, and gasped, "What happened to her hair!?"

"They cut it off. In order to drill into the head they have to remove the hair. It'll grow back, dont worry." Christina said.

But I just had to, "She looks like Frankenstein!" I blurted.

"Dani!" Lisa yelled. "Im sorry, but look, she's pale and she has stitches on her head, oh my god its gross!!" I wailed.

"If you dont like it, then you can get out! Because this is serious, keep your inside jokes to yourself! Got it!!" Katherine yelled.

I nodded embaressed, "Sorry."

"Now, lets just try and wake Lauren." Amy said.

We all went over to her, shook her, screamed her name, everything. She wouldnt budge, "Why wont she wake up?" I asked.

"Im not sure.." Lisa replied.

Then we heard something, terrifying.

Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep.

"W-What was t-that?" I cried.

Christina went over to Lauren, "No pulse. She's not breathing, she's dead."

A doctor came into the room, "I misread this.." he huffed.

Then looked at us sadly, "She's passed." he said.

I gasped, "No!"

"Im sorry, she's brain dead, which means she's dead." he explained.

My sisters froze, their faces turned pale, tears built up in their eyes. I stared at Lauren, "Please dont die."

At that exact moment I fell to my knees and became screaming, "NOOOOO!!!!!!"

Lisa grabbed me, "Dani-"

"SHE CANT DIE!!!!"

Katherine and Lisa tried taking me out of the room but failed.

I fell to the ground and started crying heavily, how can she die? Without a warning? She just... died. And I had no freaking idea!

I wont ever be the same again. Things wont ever be the same again.
