"Daddy, daddy! Wake up! Taehyungie wants to play and eat nuggets!!!" Jeongguk groans in pain when he feels a heavy weight on his torso and his shoulders are being nudged on several times. With one eye open, he takes a look at the clock beside him and curses when he sees what time it is: 6:03. Shit, still too early.
"Tae, bub, go back to sleep it's still early," he mumbles, trying to pry off the little that's on top of him. When he's done it successfully, he turns on his side and buries his face on the pillow next to him.
"But, daddy! Taehyungie wants to play!"
"Can't it wait, Taetae? Daddy's still sleepy. You can play in the living room if you want." When Jeongguk doesn't hear a response from the little, he twists his body, just enough to take a glimpse of Taehyung. The moment he faces him, Jeongguk's heart drops in despair.
"Oh God, no. Tae, baby, don't cry. Come on, daddy's sorry," Jeongguk coaxes, now fully awake because of the sight in front of him.
"Daddy doesn't want to play with Taetae... Taehyungie is hurt! Taehyungie hates daddy!" Before Jeongguk could even grab Taehyung's wrist, the little already sprinted away from Jeongguk, and locked himself inside the bathroom. Fuck, this isn't going well. Does he tell Yoongi? No, that hyung would only have his entire dick cut off. Fuck, what to do, what to do.
He rubs his temple in frustration before getting up and following Taehyung. He knocks a couple of times on the door, but is only met with Taehyung's faint sobs.
"Taetae, come on. Daddy's sorry. Open the door, please?"
"Don't wanna!"
"I'm sorry. I really am... how about I'll cook you your strawberry pancakes and then we'll play together after that? You can have your nuggets at lunch, and maybe, if you behave really good today, I'll let you pick any flavor of ice cream that you'd like to eat. I bet my peaches would like that, yeah?"
"R-really? Taehyungie gets to eat ice cream later?"
"Yes. So, be a good boy and open the door for daddy, okay?"
"M'kay..."
Jeongguk finally sighs in relief when he hears the door being unlocked. Standing in front of him is Taehyung, eyes and face red and swollen from crying too much. He has his stuffed tiger secured on one hand, while he uses the other to rub his eyes and stop himself from crying.
"Oh, baby. Stop crying. Daddy's here to tell you he's sorry. It won't happen again," Jeongguk murmurs in assurance. Taehyung just nods and he instantly latches himself to Jeongguk. The younger carries him and makes him sit on the sink. He then searches for a towel and wipes Taehyung's face with it. He instructs the little to blow his nose so that he will no longer be sniffling hard. He presses his lips on the tip of Taehyung's nose, earning a giggle from him.
"Come on, let's make you some pancakes."
