As soon as the three arrives at the hospital (which thankfully, was the same), Jeongguk secures Storm on the baby carrier and instantly slings it to his back. Both him and Jimin rushes inside the area, eyes searching for their friends among the sea of nurses and patients. Jeongguk tries finding Yoongi, but he fails to do so. He inquires at a nurse's station instead, making sure to pronounce all of his friends' name correctly. The nurse takes down the names and starts searching them up on the computer and it's when they finally got the room numbers that he and Jimin decided to split for a moment. While he goes up the third floor to Taehyung's room, Jimin will go up the fourth for Jin and Namjoon's room.Jeongguk checks Storm every once in a while and he actually sighs in relief when the kid has fallen asleep again. Once the elevator opens, he spares Jimin one last glance before stepping outside and finding Taehyung's room.
"Oh, God, Tae. Baby," he mumbles and he instantly makes his way towards the figure lying on the bed with a soft smile on his face. Taehyung was already awake, and he must've been waiting for him because as soon as Jeongguk hugs him, he instantly clings tight, his sobs now muffled on the crook of Jeongguk's neck.
"Gukkie... I was so scared... I slipped and it was just so exhausting... The doctor said I fainted after a panic attack and someone brought me here, which I'm guessing it's Yoongi hyung, but I really don't know what else happened before I slipped to little," Taehyung tries hard to not let his voice crack.
"It doesn't matter. I'm just so relieved you're okay now. God, I almost thought I'd lose you..."
They continue to hug each other and maybe Jeongguk thinks it's best if he doesn't tell Taehyung what Yoongi did to him yet. He doesn't know the full story, but he'll make sure to confront the older about it... that is, if he shows up.
After their small talk and whispers of assurances, Jeongguk lays Storm on the couch across Taehyung's bed. He takes his jacket off and drapes it over his son, and he excuses himself outside to visit the married couple just a floor above Taehyung's room. He sends Jimin a text just to confirm the room number and when he opens the door, the heavy feeling in his chest quickly subsided when he sees the three of them chatting animately.
"Namjoon hyung! Jin hyung! You got me so worried!" He whined, taking long strides towards the two. Namjoon was the only one who had an IV attached to him. Jin, on the other hand, only had cuts on his lips and a bandage around his head.
"Hey, buddy. Where's Storm?" Joon asks, motioning Jeongguk to join them and sit on the edge of the hospital bed.
"He's sleeping in Tae's room. He's fine, by the way. How are you feeling?"
"Well, I have a fractured leg, but don't worry I'll be good as new in no time!" Namjoon tries to cheer up the younger. He ruffles his hair and Jeongguk almost cries because of the way Namjoon smiled like nothing happened.
"By the way, have you, uh, seen Yoongi hyung?" Seokjin looks at him with a pained expression before shaking his head gently. He unlocks his phone and hands it to Jeongguk for the younger to see how he had already managed to spam Yoongi with messages and calls but none of them where returned- not even a single read.
"Where could he probably be? Chim? Do you know? Did he text you?" Jimin, who has gone quiet in the corner, looks up at them just to give them a small shrug and going back to spacing out. The three just looked at each other, confused as to what they will do now that they're here together except for Yoongi who went missing.
"Maybe you could talk to him, Chim. He needs someone right now," Seokjin speaks softly, walking close towards Jimin. He lifts the younger's chin, his thumb drawing circles on the skin to soothe him.
